Homemade bagels baked fresh EVERY morning - lox flown in from NY - generous portions of great food in a good old fashioned NY deli setting. The meats are cooked in house and you can taste the quality!
We stopped at the Original Bagel & Bialy restaurant which is located at The Grove Shopping Center which is the northeast corner of McHenry Rd. & Lake Cook Rd. There is plenty of parking in the lot with very easy access. When we walked in, the Original Bagel & Bialy was really busy. Rather than wait, this time we picked up a half dozen of different bagels with some cream cheese and we were off. The bagels were quite good and very fresh. The price was reasonable. The staff was friendly and efficient.Hello Allen, Thank you for stopping by and updating a favorable review of the Original Bagel & Bialy restaurant. Honestly if Jason's Deli was the only restaurant on the planet I would be okay with it. They offer a ton of different things beyond those typical of a deli and have that awesome focus on nutrition and wholesome ingredients. You can get a million different things. The free ice cream is fun too. They really do a great business. Everyone is so friendly every time I go. Food comes out faster than Panera's would (then again Panera always takes forever). Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion size is good. I get the turkey wrap and sub it with their awesome grilled chicken. Always tasty and always filling.

This place has lost out to McAllistar's as far as we are concerned due to their continued resistance to providing a gluten free bread option. It's wonderful that they are so proud of their breaded; but, for the growing number of gluten intolerant eaters, it doesn't matter. Get with the times, people!
