We tried this restaurant, expecting it to be average. Maybe its location in Clinton pre-disposed me to have low expectations. In any event, the decor was very attractive and the food was excellent. The menu had the usual fare (e.g., General Tso's chicken) but there were other dishes that you'd expect in sophisticated restaurants in New York, San Francisco, or Chicago. I had braised cod, which was perfectly cooked and delicious. They also offer several vegetable options, not only bean curd but also eggplant. I've eaten in several Chinese restaurants in Clinton and this one is definitely the best. Check the opening days and hours beforehand, however. They are now closed Mondays.
This place is not fancy, but I will bring anyone who likes Chinese! Cheap good eats! For around $6.50 you get soup, egg roll and entree at lunch time.
Many buffets like this exist in our area of the Midwest, probably all over the country. I find this one, like many others, to be inexpensive and unappetizing. There is a lot to eat, but I rarely find something worth a second helping. When I eat here with friends, I am never happy having eaten too much to get my money's worth of mediocre food.
