Fine eating establishments know the essence of the restaurant business. It isn't merely enough to provide good food. The truly memorable dining experience depends upon several other ingredients from the top food selections, to the most dedicated people s
Very disappointed that I have to write this review. Jamesonâs in Mt Prospect has been a favorite of ours for over 20 years. So much so that we used to eat here at least once a week. When the former manager, Peter, was there the service, food and Atmosphere was great. We had been away for awhile but over the past year weâve gone back in the hope it was still as good. We have been sorely disappointed every time. This time was the last. We had reservations and we were seated in the back party room. We were the only ones back there and the room didnât even have the heat turned on. It took at least 15 minutes to see a waitress and we waited just as long to get our cocktails. So long that we were on the verge of walking out. After we ordered, another couple was seated in the room and they had the same experience. Our waitress totally ignored them and they walked out to the dining room to find someone to take their order. The lettuce was n the salad was brown and wilted, I had to cut off about an inch of the baked potato because it appeared rotten and the filet I ordered had a huge piece of grizzle in it. The manager came to the door of the room we were in, and even though both we and the other table waved at him to come over, he simply turned around and walked away. Thatâs what we are doing also. Walking away. Sorry to say it is just not the great place it used to be. Management makes a difference. Our management and waitstaff would like the opportunity to turn your disappointment into a positive experience by providing the best food, service and seating for your best birthday dinner ever! Please contact the restaurant at your earliest convenience to make arrangements, thank you!

What began in Chicago in 1978 is now one of the most award-winning steakhouses around. For over 30 years, Morton's The Steakhouse has been on a mission to provide "The Best Steak⦠Anywhere." Focusing on quality, consistency and genuine hospitality, Morton
Iâve visited Mortonâs several times when staying in Itasca. It never fails to impress both on the service but especially on the food side where the meat is excellent and well prepared. The pricing is in the higher range but you get what you pay for and in this case excellent meat and side dishes.Go there next time you are in the area.

Took our annual trip to Chicago, had to stop at this place, for the 10-12 time always the best. The coconut banana cream pie is the very best, like the way the now present it.

When we parked in the lot in front of Rokbonki Japanese Steak House, we observed the large poster in the window for sushi, which is what we were looking for. Once we walked inside, however, the aroma overcame us and we decided to do a hibachi-style dinner. We decided on the filet mignon shrimp with the Tokyo golden egg yolk batter. We also ordered the seafood special which is cold water lobster, scallops and shrimp with the spicy blended garlic batter. Both selections included soup, salad, a hibachi shrimp appetizer, vegetables, fried rice & ice cream. The chef was friendly and quite good. We were seated with some nice people. There were no complaints on anything from any one of our table mates. A bit pricey, but very good.

First night in Chicago and we walked a few steps from the Sofitel Hotel and just walked into Ditka's. Most of us have some reservations (pun intended) of going to a restaurant with a signature name. Normally, the name is better then the service or the food. This is not the case here..... we stopped to have a drink at the bar and was immediately impressed by the friendly staff and sports themed interior. After a drink we decided to take a chance and I am glad we did........ the food was fabulous and the wine menu quite extensive. In fact, we drank the last two bottles of Cade a very nice wine from the Napa Howell Mountain area...... our waiter was perfect and the food excellent. I had the bone in rib eye, charred medium, with a shrimp cocktail. My wife had fish and both of us could not have been more pleased. The next day we stopped by and our waiter introduced us to the general manager who told me how Ditka's sourced its food and meat. We actually went one more time after seeing the Aladdin for dinner and lunch before a river cruise..... It is a high end sports steakhouse and I recommend it highly for the service, food and ambiance.... One complaint, we did not meet the Coach.....

Texas de Brazil is a Brazilian steakhouse, or churrascaria, that features endless servings of ï¬ame-grilled beef, lamb, pork, chicken, and Brazilian sausage as well as an extravagant salad area with a wide array of seasonal chef-crafted items.
This restaurant is very loud and crowded so try to sit in the very back if you can. Our large party was seated back there and it was tolerable re: noise. We did have to weave our way to the extensive salad bar. It's really not a salad bar and I'll tell you why. At this restaurant, you go to this bar and get side dishes and salad. Then you sit back down and servers will bring all sorts of meats on skewers and cut off a fresh slice right there at your seat. They do regular meat and meat cooked with no salt (which I didn't know was a thing). I had filet medium rare and it was great. The mashed potatoes, sauteed mushrooms, and fried bananas (in sugar and cinnamon) were delicious. There was beef, chicken, lamb, pork and probably more I missed. You an eat as long as you wish. We were a table of 13 and everyone was well cared for and left with satisfied appetites.

We've eaten at this well managed eatery at least a dozen times, and it's been consistently excellent. Steaks and fish are both carefully prepared, and although the service may not be Michelin perfect, it's friendly and consistently efficient. The trick here is to go early if you can or to prepare to stop at the bar for a libation before going to your table. Parking is a problem - the place is so popular, you'll have a tussle finding a spot to stow your car.
