Find out what Asian restaurants to try in Springfield. The spirit of the "Land of Lincoln" is nowhere else so alive as it is in Springfield, one time home to old Honest Abe himself and present home of the Lincoln Home National Historic Site, the Lincoln-Herndon Law Offices State Historic Site, the Old State Capitol State Historic Site, the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum and the Lincoln Tomb State Historic Site. The NAACP also holds Springfield at its roots, having formed after a particularly bloody race riot here in 1908.

We tried out Pao's recently, and found it quite satisfactory. The filet mignon was cooked properly and tasted good. The service was acceptable. We ate outside on a pleasant evening with a gentle breeze.

I had supper here.I dined in. There is a wide variety on the menu. I chose the meat platter. Of the 3 meats the chicken was my favorite it also went well with the pineapple slice.beef second then the short ribs. The rice was well done. I am not a fan of any pasta salad but the macaroni salad was good. I did not order desert. I want to return for various other items that were pleasing to the eye.Enjoy!!!

We went to Thai Basil today for lunch and the food was average and definitely not something to write home about. The sauces appeared to be diluted down and not very tasty. Prices were very reasonable but if you're looking for high-end Thai food this is not the place.

Mimosa is worth a try for both the great variety of oriental food & beverage options (FYI â only bottled beer â nothing on draft, but several good oriental selections) as well as the airy/bright & rather eclectic ambiance. Although we have only enjoyed lunch there a number of times, those choices are quite extensive. Especially recommend their lunch specialsâ especially the curry & teriyaki dishes. All come with soup & egg rolls. Donât bother with their soups as they are rather bland unless you add drops of Sriracha sauce to them. Egg rolls with dipping sauce are decent. Ample entree portions!!Although service can be only so-so sometimes, the overall experience makes it worth the travel to the cityâs edge and prices are not at all unreasonable.

James Home Kitchen is Springfield's newest restaurant. Our Christian owned and operated restaurant features family dining in our newly renovated facility. Offering a wide menu selection from Texas BBQ to Asian Fusion, you'll be sure to find something on t
There is nothing especially fancy about the ambiance of James Home Kitchen. One might describe it as utilitarian-clean, but nothing that makes it stand out from any other small, locally owned restaurant. The staff is pleasant and seems eager to make you feel comfortable. There is plenty of free parking available. This restaurant only serves soft drinks, beer, and wine; no alcoholic mixed drinks are sold. What does set James Home Kitchen apart from many other dining spots in Springfield is the menu. It offers an unusual fusion (for Springfield, at least) of American, Chinese, and Asian cuisine. You can order everything from an Angus beef burger to pan fried pot stickers to beef bulgogi. And, of course, most important is that all of the entrees are delicious. Whatever it might lack in ambience, James Home Kitchen more than makes up for in its well-prepared menu offerings.

Weâre on a cross-country road trip and decided to get more variety in our diet. The place is not appealing inside or out but apparently some construction is going on inside. Food came quickly and service excellent. Lisa seemed to know many of the customers, or sheâs a person who can chat with any stranger. No beer or wine available but theyâve been waiting for a liquor license. Lisa invited us to come back next trip and you know what? We may just do that.

The wonton soup is very good; lots of good flavor without being too salty. Fresh cilantro is in it. The shrimp tempura as an appetizer is great! The tempura batter is light, and the shrimp are big. You get 4 shrimp plus fresh vegetables. The curry entrees are good with fresh ingredients, but served warm, not hot. Itâs a good restaurant, this is for sure.

Came with a group. We ate in a back room (the room was nice, but it was super cold and the music was ridiculously loud) the server was harried, but she did pretty good. They were a little disorganized. The food, however, was solid. It was good food that was just very satisfying. They had good prices and good portions. The bread was amazing. We enjoyed the visit.
