We came here because I had a pad thai craving... Penny cured it! But not necessarily in a good way. I actually really didn't like Penny's pad thai-- it was way too dry, too flavorless, didn't have enough peanuts or enough egg... Just not good.The hot pepper noodles, on the other hand, are phenomenal. Absolutely unbelievable and craveable. Spicy without scorching your entire esophagus, flavorful and chewy and just absolutely wonderful. Should have listened to my mom's recommendation! (Isn't that always the case??)

We had an incredible family dinner on a cold winter night at Kamehachi Restaurant in Northbrook. This is a first class Japanese restaurant. Server Peter offered superb service. Several guests ordered salmon teriyaki. Unlike other restaurants that smother offerings in salty teriyaki sauce, Kamehachi served a delicious course that was cooked and seasoned to perfection.

This is a friendly and well-run restaurant. Prices are reasonable. I had the healthy combination that started with miso soup. The plate included a California roll, gomai (spinach, which I asked to have the sauce left off because it's a bit sweet), seafood salad with cucumbers, and ample tofu steak. My wife had the changpong, a spicy noodle dish that she found lacking.

My family has been eating at this place since 1995. The fish is always fresh and the other menu items are delicious too. We go there also because the staff are wonderful people. James and his crew are like family. If you are in the neighborhood stop in for a roll! You will not be disappointed.

Recommended by family whom we were visiting in Wilmette. He has visited Mexico frequently, as have we, so we are always cautious about trying new Mexican restaurants as most are disappointing. Depot Nuevo does not disappoint! The tacos are delicious and are served in freshly grilled soft corn tortillas The salsas taste fresh. The huge selection of tequilas and mescals appear in very good margarita variations. Best of all is the decor - no giant sombreros, just classy black and white photos of Mexico itself, agave harvest etc.

We order from this place a lot. Been hard to find good egg rolls. They have wonderful dishes and soups. Delivery is pretty fast and they will do other options if you would like different vegetables in something. Never a disappointment. Slightly pricey but great food so it's worth it.

I just returned from visiting Blufish Sushi Bistro after a long absence. I was delighted to see that they have enlarged and expanded their restaurant considerably.The new place is far roomier and more spacious, as well as being more attractive.The food was just excellent. The menu is quite extensive. There are plenty of interesting options on the menu. Our waitress was efficient,courteous and quite charming. We were served quickly.

To be fair to the servers, it seemed that there were glitches. We received a deal via e-mail and it did not work at first. Servers seemed somewhat listless and unsmiling, although relatively congenial. The food was delicious and the drink was as well and the final check was lower than expected. I just got the impression that all was not right at P.F. Changâs and I think that with a little fine tuning and smiles, it could be perfect.

We have dined here for more than 15 years, and love it, and find it better than ever today.The food is ultra fresh and covers both bases -- the sushi/sashimi crowd and the rest of us -- with great dishes. The staff and service is the best anywhere. This is a family owned, family run restaurant and they serve you with great kindness. The goldfish pond, turtle terrarium, and aquariums are fascinating for the 4- to 7-year-old set. This is a grownup restaurant that is exceptionally family friendly; everyone feels comfortable there. The room is big and the tables are not too close, so one's dining experience is roomy, not much noisy, and relaxed. The prices are great.

This is the best restaurant between Chicago and Milwaukee. Weâve been guests monthly for almost 10 years. Have tried just about everything on the menu ... never disappointed. The NOLA items are a treat (if you want to experiment, just try the Shot of Gumbo). Seasonally have Soft Shell Crabs, try them tempura style. Shrimp and Grits best Iâve had outside South Carolina. The tuna, either as appetizer or entree, is fresh and satisfying. Iâve had the steak, but Iâm not particularly a steak guy, so didnât think it was as special as the other entrees Iâve had. Weâve visited as a couple, and as family group of a dozen ... service is always, consistently outstanding. BBQ and sandwiches are top notch. Not a beer guy, but there is a large selection of domestic and imported brews. You will not be disappointed.Thank you so much for all your kind words!
