I went to lunch here with my wife on 9/1/14. She had suggested it since someone in her office told her that they have a $5.00 lunch. When we arrived she decided upon something else. But, I decided on the 2 sandwich spicy chicken with fries & Coke. I usually don't like the thin chicken sandwiches at fast food restaurants. But, these were tasty and they were SPICY! I feel that I got a real value for my money.

We eat here often. They have a Sunday brunch from 11-2 that is super !! You can pick breakfast or lunch from the buffet. It is all great tasting !! The people who work there are also super ( well the ones that have waited on us). They know my name and know what I want to drink , not many places do this !!! The menu food is also super !! I have tried MANY this on it !!! They do have specials daily.

Usually when we patronize this Applebee's, the service is great. We were seated immediately and promptly asked what we wanted to drink.The waitress came out right after and asked what we would like to order. We gave her our order and advised her we would like an appetizer. Within 5 minutes we had our appetizer. It was delicious, fresh, and the hot was hot, the cold was cold. However, we weren't halfway done with our appetizer, when our meals were delivered. I was finished with my first drink (coffee), and set my cup on the edge of the table, to prompt the staff that I was ready for a refill.We weren't aware, but after our food was brought out, we wouldn't have another visit till it was time for our checks to be handed to us. I need to tell you that this wasn't overly late. It was about 7 when we arrived at the restaurant, and we didn't see a full house. However, the staff was more interested in cleaning than taking care of the customers. If a new party arrived, they served them just as promptly as we were taken care of. However, our waitress passed by our table multiple times, without once asking how the meals were, or if we required anything. I, in the meantime, finished my glass of water, which I had to ask for. I finished the second half of my meal without a drink.When I finished my meal, the waitress appeared, asking if we needed anything. At that point, I was disgusted,advised my wife to reflect our poor service in her tip, and asked for our bill.It was brought out, without hesitation and not a word was said to us. Fortunately, the food is always great and usually we have acceptable service. However, many more trips like this and we won't be going back to the Wood River Applebee's.

Great place, cheap and quality food and great entertainment. Super find, my wife grew up in the area and wanted me to visit this place. Super friendly staff, and neat indoor/outdoor seating. Odd food system where you order your food at the kitchen, then wait and pick it up. However, it has character. We will return.

This tea room is amazing! The decor reminds you of your grandmas favorite things. They have a traditional setting with beautiful floral sights, with lots of purple colors. Tables are nicely covered and set up just for tea and dining. They have wine glasses ready to serve your favorite tea or drink. They serve coke products. Their raspberry tea is wonderful, though they have several flavors. They have a menu featuring many sandwich choices, soups and salads. They even a pick 2/pick 3 style of menu, that way you can enjoy all your favorites here. I love their turkey club and potato soup. They have a wonderful poppyseed dressing that everyone in my family loves and wishes they had the receipt to, or we wish it was sold. Their sandwiches come with lots of meat! They do not skimp on anything. Their soups are the most delectable I have ever had. They are very creamy and flavorful. Their potato is my absolute favorite. They also have a great broccoli cheese soup. They change daily, so you do have to call to see what they have that day. Usually they feature at least two. Madison's also has some of the most delicious desserts. They are worth every penny! The Samoa pie is a favorite of our family. If you are looking to try a new place or want to dine in with your family or friends, Madison's is a can't miss! Plenty of food for the price, good quality and delicious tastes. They are average priced in comparison to tea rooms and places like Panera bread (though you get more for your money at Madison's). The staff is very polite and friendly. They have wheelchair accessibility, street parking, parking in a lot in back, and kid friendly with high chairs.

My friend and I were going to go to another restaurant after church on Saturday but they closed at 6 which seemed really odd to us so she suggested Fiona's. I had never been there before but was willing to try it. The special was all you can eat Pork Chops, grilled or fried, for $7.99 with 2 sides. I got mine grilled and she got hers fried. They were both delicious and we both got THREE each! I also got chicken and dumplings, which were very good, as a side and a salad, which was good as well.

This is an old established burger n shake place in Wood River. They have more on theMenu than burgers. In fact they have quite a variety of things to eat. They are noted for their chili. If your in the mood for a good burger and a shake and a little nostalgia I recommend King Louieâs

Every time I go into this place, either lunch or diner even cocktails this is the place to be!! With the friendly and wonderful staff, couldn't ask for more. Come check it out along with the new parking! YAY!! Ask for Jenny!
