I always feel bad when I review restaurants because I am never very impressed with them. I had the special a Stuffed Pork chop and expected a thick center cut chop with a bone. I am not sure what I got, it was about two inches high and had stuffing and gravy which I had specially said I didn't want. A small scoop of potatoes and gravy and some canned green beans rounded out the meal. the chop was pretty good BIG the rest was standard fare, canned gravy. SIGH for some real gravy. My granddaughter had the Grilled Shrimp and a baked potato - gave the food an 8. My grandson had the kid's hot dog BIG definitely a jumbo dog and tasted like beef, had a large bun that might have been toasted. He had cottage cheese for a side. The service was a bit slow but friendly. All in all I would go back and try something else next time. This restaurant is near Route 80 and the price for my meal was under $10 not including the drink.

Got the meatloaf special, very good, nice size serving. Friendly staff. Not too busy when we were there. Salad bar. Overall worthy of a return visit.

Place is beautiful...bar is excellent and food is amazing. We live locally so we order here when we want BBQ. Carryouts available which may be an option because they are so busy at times.

We drove up from the Bloomington, IL area (about an hour or so) to eat here on a Sunday. Can I just say it was worth the drive?? You can order 1/4 dark, 1/4 white or strips. Also, definitely order the mushrooms and pickles/crusties. The fry on the chicken is not heavy (I was worried about that) and same with the mushrooms. When you take a bite, it doesn't pull away from the neat or mushrooms like other places. Get there early and have your whole party with you or you won't be able to order or be seated. A few people in our party had the coleslaw and all said it was delicious. The chicken strips looked really good, too. I will say it was worth the drive and the hype. Will definitely be going again.

Husband and I were out for a Sunday drive on this beautiful day in May. We were originally going to stop in Utica for a late lunch. So glad we didnât and kept driving or we would have missed this place. Awesome food, wonderful service. Our waitress was super friendly. Their Bama Nachos were phenomenal and we split the Ruben. Generous portions. Canât wait to go back and try the meat sampler.

Since 1985 the Uptown Grill has offered polished casual American cuisine, serving our full menu for lunch thru dinner seven days a week. We offer one of the most diverse menus in the area. Our atmosphere includes beautiful outdoor seating, screened-in pat
What is really nice about this place is the seating in a screened area facing the street. It is "outside" without having people walking by and smelling the fumes of the garbage truck going down the street. Beer selection was good, but pricey. My salad was very different and enjoyable. Wife got a burger, which was cooked to perfection, but wife likes them burnt, so was not satisfied. Service was great and timely. Overall cost was higher than a tavern, but expected that. Recommended.Thank you for joining us, we are happy you got to enjoy the screened in patio. Our chefs love to create unique and delicious flavor combinations for our ever-changing menu! We are always happy to cook burgers to any temperature you prefer! We hope you can join us again!Best,Ryan

Fine food is served at this "Hole-In-The-Wall". She had the grilled salmon with a sweet potato(maple flavored), and I had a Filet Mignon with baked potato and vegetables. The restaurant opens a 5 PM and you do need reservations as the place is small (10 tables) and in high demand. Locals eat here and every seat was taken including the 18 seats at the bar. The location is oddly unusual in the middle of vacant small storefronts and is along the river. Inside is all new and of modern design. Bar tender friendly and good.
Old fashioned parfait, from fresh ingredients, in tasty frozen cream. Walk up to the outside window, pick your pleasure, & very quickly they have it ready. We heard about the "Spring Valley TASTEE FREEZ," from local waitresses, in another town. It was worth the drive !

The PlaceAngelo's is located in Spring Valley, Illinois right off St. Rt. 6 by St. Margaret's Hospital. This is a nice family operated and family centered business. This restaurant is larger than it appears from the street with ample lot parking. There are both tables and booths available with a large dining room for private parties and main dining room overflow. This restaurant is modern, clean, and well maintained. The Food/MenuVery full menu to chose entrees and appetizers. We have heard great things about their pizza and sandwiches but were focused on fish this evening. We ordered broiled Cod, with a healthy salad, baked sweet potato, and mixed vegetables. For our other entrees we ordered garlic and herb crusted Tilapia, with baked potato, a healthy salad, and Our meals came with very generous portion sizes and were excellent. The Service/Value/ExperienceOur server was friendly and efficient!! We found the prices to be very fair for the value presented. We had a great experience and look forward to trying several different entrees and of course the pizza. Highly recommend.

Mark Allen's knows what it takes to be an outstanding restaurant. Starting with their service; servers were prompt, friendly and smiling during our entire meal. The food - bartender knew how to make the perfect dry martini anywhere - bar none! My husband had their 13 ounce New York sirloin medium-well; cooked to perfection, the meat was seasoned beautifully.I had the Wonderburger, absolutely magnificent. Well done Mark Allen's, we will tell everyone about you and we will be back!Hi CadKdb, Thank you for taking the time and leaving us an amazing review! We are so happy to hear your experience was positive in every possible way. It was truly a pleasure to serve you and we look forward to your next visit! :)
