We are a family-owned restaurant in the heart of Crystal Lake, Illinois. We believe fine dining is more than the very best in food, service and atmosphere. It is creating a space where you feel at home, in a way, but are still surprised. Itâs a conversati
noisy. The new owner spent some time and money remodeling this establishment and it shows. However, the downside is a very noisy venue despite their attempts at sound deadening panels in the ceiling. Perhaps some soft materials on the walls and carpeting would help. The level is such that some patrons, it seems, talk louder so their companions can hear them and the level spins out of control. Our server was attentive although the place was busy.Foodwise, the fare is varied, well-prepared and not your everyday menu.I thoroughly enjoyed my butt steak with mashed potatoes and vegetables. My wife's pork tenderloin with sweet potatoes and vegetables was also very good. The salad served with our meal was good sized, fresh and we especially liked the fact that they toss each salad with the chosen dressing rather than just ladling on a portion of dressing. Nice even coverage of dressing (which were delicious).Only the noise level kept us from giving this restaurant a "5".Thank you for your feedback! We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your experience. Noise can be a challenge when you have a full dining room, but certainly a problem we feel fortunate to have! We will definitely take your feedback into consideration and look forward to having you again soon!

This is a very well lit and clean restaurant. The workers were friendly, service was quick, and food was hot and delicious. I wish other restaurants in area would follow their example.Keep up the good work Kostas!

We chose Montarra to celebrate our wedding anniversary primarily based on a review we saw on Check Please (aired January 2019). Although the food was good and the service was adequate, our experience did not match what we saw on the show. The waterfall and chandelier shown in the review is located in the main dining room which was closed for a private party so we didnât get to see it. The menu was personalized with happy anniversary but it would have made the evening special if a small dessert to share was presented at the end. The complimentary bread basket are thin crisps that are overly salty. We enjoyed the tuna tartare with smashed avocado and red pepper aioli served with white corn chips. I had the mixed grill plate that was delicious; however I was not able to dejoint the rack of lamb. My husband had the rib eye steak which was tender and flavorful. Overall we had a nice meal but nothing exceptional.

Went here for lunch, great sports bar food. Every type of sport you can imagine was show and under 30 plus TV sets. Free popcorn to help wash the beer down. I will definitely be back.

A small American style restaurant with a wide choice of dishes. The lovely ladies that serve at the tables were absolutely charming and very efficient. The food was ok and very good value for money. If you are passing through Huntley, this is the place to stop.

Open To Public -- Part Of A Small Chain Of Restaurants And Tripadvisor Lists Some Of The Others -- This One Has Been Here For 1 Year.
Jamesonâs has good food and atmosphere is scenic looking out the window. The have specials. Their chicken artichoke is very good and their burgers, prime rib sandwich and Phillip sandwiches are good. Even thought the Huntley one is within Del Webb perimeter, donât be fooled itâs open to the public. Pricing is ok altho I wish they would come down a bit in cost cause thereâs a lot of seniors who frequent and lots of families.

My husband and I stopped on a Tuesday night for dinner before shopping. He got the battered cod dinner with fries and broccoli and I got the cheeseburger sliders (which were really Angus burgers!) topped with onion strings and homemade chips. We both were pleased with the taste and price. We also got the pretzel bites stuffed with cheese for a starterâ-delicious but $7.99 for eight small bites and dipping sauce was a little expensive. We found out later that Tuesday was $4 and $6 appetizer night (not the pretzel bites). Thereâs also a Bar and TVs with plenty of high and low top tables. Efficient wait staff. Weâll be back!

When we had been last at the Parkside Pub, we learned about the upcoming 36th Annual Turkey Testicle Festival that is held in downtown Huntley on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. The festival is outside and the Parkside has the setup pretty much down. The festival starts at 1100 hrs. and is held in a large tent behind the Parkside Pub. There is a stage inside where there are bands - mostly country - play during the day. We arrived a bit after 1100 hrs. and found a close parking spot. You enter through the patio for the Parkside Pub and you buy sheets of tickets for beer and drinks. As you walk in the patio, youâll also see souvenir t-shirts and sweatshirts for sale, as well. There are a number of port-a-potties around the tent and inside. There is no seating, only the high tables where you can stand. There are a couple of different beer stands and you pay for the beer with the tickets. You can also get cans of soda there, as well. We found only one stand for food which seemed a bit surprising. Sure enough on the menu board, were âturkey nutsâ for $5.00. For that you get about a pint-sized styrofoam cup of deep-fried turkey testicles. There was hot sauce, mustard and catsup as well. The turkey testicles had the consistency of hot dog, but though a cliche, they did taste a bit like chicken. To be perfectly honest, ânot bad!â The band that we heard was excellent. The entire staff was very efficient, friendly and helpful. I spoke with the food standâs operator. I had to find out the answer to two questions. The first being, are there only two testicles per turkey. The answer was yes. The second question was how many pounds of turkey testicles are sold during the day. The answer - 1,200 lbs. Or a lot of turkeys! Hey, if youâve never been, it was fun to go and to try the specialty at least once in your life!
