If you like a supper club atmosphere, this is the palce...large drinks, good portions, usually excellent service and reasonable food. Although, we feel some of the quality has waned over the years, this place is still great for groups and longer dining experiences. Try eating in the bar, if you are 2-4 diners, it's more fun.

The place was my favorite Sunday breakfast place until today. I haven't been here in months but the cashier didn't know the menu. He didn't seem excited about having guest or in being there. After ordering coffee, the urn turned out to be empty and he seemed indifferent and snickered with the cooks about the situation. It's amazing how poor customer service can ruin the experience.

Wasnât sure what to expect from this American Bistro... but what we ate was five star goodness. After the Ravinia crowd left, it allowed for a more leisurely experience and we sat outside. Service was attentive and excellent. We chose to dine tapas style.... a couple Old Fashioneds were very sweet and good, enhanced by the fig. We started with the ribs, spicy hot but smoky meaty too. The cauliflower was so well flavored that I barely knew I was eating it.... bonus! Spicy shrimp were indeed spicy but great. Chicken pot stickers were made with a nice skin and excellent filling..... asparagus salad, crispy Brussels sprouts and mini cheddar chive biscuit were also devoured and who can forget the polenta fries! I found the predominant flavors to be more spicy Asian, which I love, than American, but I can live with that! Seven different tapas shared flavors this visit, perhaps Iâll try an entree next time.... we will return!Love that it is finally warm enough to have outdoor dining! We are happy to hear that you were able to enjoy your meal outside and leisurely. You definitely hit some fan favorites in the dishes you tried. We look forward to hosting you again in the future!

Canât say enough about how juicy and tender the chicken was.... among the best I have eaten anywhere. Sauces were varied and some better than others but the variety was appreciated. Sides were not impressive.... fries were crinkle cut like you buy by the ton at Costco, macaroni and cheese had an off taste, noted first by the kids and confirmed by the adults, the corn muffins were ok and the veggies probably the best of the lot.Two whole chickens were more than enough for five adults and 3 kids and there were leftovers.... I would return!

Maybe it was our waitress...or maybe it was the fact we had a party of 6 on a Saturday night... perhaps reality is truth and the restraunt is mediocre at best...The food is so dated...almost every entree is topped with an arugula salad...and everything was so salty!! The level of salt was almost inedible...With so many options... itâs just easier going somewhere else!!Hereâs my pic of my Chicken Milanese....

This is my favorite place in the Chicago suburbs to grab a quick breakfast or lunch, and my go to place to carry out a dozen of mini bagels for breakfast at home. Their bagel is chewy not also soft. For lunch, I always add a bowl of their chicken noodle soup which is so tasty.

I go to Lucky Fish several times a month with a buddy before listening to music elsewhere in Highwood.I can honestly say I have never had bad service, bad food, or a bad experience. From the moment you walk in you are greeted from the hostess to the moment you leave everyone is friendly, the food is fresh and well prepared, and the servers are helpful and enthusiastic!!When we were there two weeks ago on Tuesday night it was closed and had a sign that said open only Wednesday thru Sunday which was very disappointing to us.I hope they continue to do well and stay open!!

This is the best restaurant between Chicago and Milwaukee. Weâve been guests monthly for almost 10 years. Have tried just about everything on the menu ... never disappointed. The NOLA items are a treat (if you want to experiment, just try the Shot of Gumbo). Seasonally have Soft Shell Crabs, try them tempura style. Shrimp and Grits best Iâve had outside South Carolina. The tuna, either as appetizer or entree, is fresh and satisfying. Iâve had the steak, but Iâm not particularly a steak guy, so didnât think it was as special as the other entrees Iâve had. Weâve visited as a couple, and as family group of a dozen ... service is always, consistently outstanding. BBQ and sandwiches are top notch. Not a beer guy, but there is a large selection of domestic and imported brews. You will not be disappointed.Thank you so much for all your kind words! We're so happy to hear you've enjoyed your experience with us time and time again! We look forward to the next time!

We were on a trip in the Highland Park area looking for some historical information. We decided to stop for brunch about midway through. We decided on Walker Brothers Original Pancake House in Highland Park as it was nearby and it looked interesting. The ambiance and decor is great with the oak paneling and the stained glass windows. We happened to be seated next to one of those windows. The restaurant was not busy, considering the time of day. Our server was there quickly for our drink order & our entree order. We decided on the Albacore white tuna salad on a toasted Challah roll and some fresh fruit. I chose the apple cinnamon pancake. I half expected that the pancake would take 20 - 30 minutes, but it came out very quickly. It was hot and tasty. The tuna salad was also very good. The total price was reasonable. The staff was efficient and our server was friendly.
