Went here prior to attending a show at the Rialto in Joliet. Owner and staff were extremely friendly. The home cooked food was outstanding. I had the meatloaf dinner with came with mashed potatoes, corn, and gravy. Highly recommended. My girlfriend had the turkey dinner which came with all the trimmings, again outstanding. Coconut pie for dessert only because the bread pudding was gone!! Delicious pie. Will absolutely go again.

I've lived here my whole life, and never came to Ace! Hubby and I took his son here to try it out. I liked my hoagie and root beer. My stepson liked his shake and chicken tenders. Hubby was disappointed with his burger and chili. He did like his root beer though. Hubby felt that the portions were way too small for the price. I thought it was a fun experience, but it was a little pricey. We may or not try it again.

Never a wait here, not busy on any given night. Website down for updating menu again. I came to see what new items or specials were being offered, but was disappointed when I arrived and learned no specials was featured. I ordered the green pepper soup (see photo), looked, smelled and tasted more like chili. Either way, soup was good, whatever the name is. Franks redHot sauce is featured here, and the wings are fierce with flavor. Little pricey for small order, but will order again. Many items were removed from current menu (April 29th,'18) No more pasta options, dinners have been cut down to fish & chips, breaded chicken with veggie, or grilled chicken plate with veggie. Besides pizza 14" is $16 cheese only ($2 each topping). This place is nice for craft beer, but pricey overall. High top tables very uncomfortable.

Since the 1950's Al's Steakhouse has been serving up fine dining. It's evident from the furnishing and table clothes which have become a lost art of the past. We called and made reservations, upon our arrival we were promptly seated. Barbara took very good care of us and meal delivery was timed perfectly. Next time we are back in the Joliet area we will make another trip to Al's for a great dining experience. You won't be disappointed.

I've visited Fire Water many times over the past year for lunches and dinners and tried most of their menu. I have to say I think my favorites are their rib tips and Grillmaster burger. This place is always busy and for good reason. I have often ordered pickup for gatherings at our house and it's always a hit. The ambiance is what I expect from a southern smokehouse. Highly recommend if you're in the area. Quick and delicious eats at a reasonable price. It's become a "go-to" meal for me.

My server was certainly well trained, and competent. She, however, seemed overworked. Pacing was off, and I could tell it wasn't her fault. Really the most offputting thing about my meal was that my steak most definitely had sugar on it. I ordered a nice filet. It was cooked perfectly. It may have even been aged. It was ridiculously expensive, and it even had microgreens thrown haphazardly on the plate. But my god I think it gave me diabetes. I did my best to rescue it from the pool of syrupy juices upon which it was delivered. It was a travesty to fine dining to deal with the oddly sugared steak I was delivered. Thanks for the review. We'll let our chefs know about your comments on your meal. We appreciate the time you took to let us know.

Located inside Water Tower Place, this is designed as a high end mall food court, with an interesting twist in that you get a card which is swiped at each place and then you pay on the way out. I liked the concept, and the wide selection of different classic Chicago food choices. However, we tried food from five different places and it was all very average. It would be a good choice for families with kids because it is fun and there is something for everyone, but it would have been better if the good was more memorable.

For more than 50 years, I have visited Merichka's, a mainstay in the Joliet area. First recommended by my late father's new boss, Merichka's still delivers on the delicious memories of family meals and prom dates. The steak poorboy with garlic butterine and swiss plus the double baked potato is a must (and enough for lunch tomorrow!). Yet, they keep updating the menu. Enjoyed the chili. Thank you and cannot wait for my next visit!
