This place gives you a small town country feel near the big city. Cute decor, friendly service and quality comfort food made this a great surprise. The breakfast dishes are both creative and delicious. Definitely worth a visit (family friendly & romantic).I will make my way back to this place.

Husband and I were out and about and stumbled across this place...best find in a long time. This is our new favorite restaurant. The quality of food is excellent, the portions are fantastic, and the pricing is incredible. Husband got an omelette with hash browns and pancakes. I got the chicken sandwich with fresh avocado, Swiss cheese, and pineapple. My meal came with soup and a side. I chose the navy bean, which has the most amazing flavor. For my side I decided to try the breaded mushrooms....they were so good.The waitress was also superb....Kaitlyn was the best waitress weâve had in a long time. She is kind and pays attention to detail.The entire experience was unforgettable....We will be back.

Stopped in for lunch after visiting Brookfield Zoo. Friendly staff greeted us and we were told we could choose inside or out. Having been outside all morning we decided to stay in, but the outdoor patio looked nice. Our server was great and the food was very good. I had a burger and fries, and my husband had the shepherds pie which he said was wonderful. Would not hesitate to stop here again if in the area.

First time dinners at Cooper's Hawk. We had a pleasant dinner with friends on Sunday evening. Our friends are members so we enjoyed the wine options and was very pleased. Service was excellent, our server was very helpful, attentive and knowledgable about the wine offerings and menu. Our meal was a little less than what we expected. Our pasta was not fully cooked so that made the experience a little disappointing and not worth what we paid.

Palmers Place is a wonderful restaurant right I the middle of Downtown La Grange!It has great food and almost unlimited types of beer. By any standard, Vie in Western Springs, Illinois, is one of the leading restaurants in the United States. It has earned one star from Michelin, the gold standard of culinary rating systems, and is ranked among the top 40 eateries in the country. Located at 4471 Lawn Avenue, a few steps from a Metra station, chef/owner Paul Virant opened his masterpiece in 2004, the first restaurant in Western Springs to serve liquor since Prohibition. It makes for farm-to-table fine dining in an elegant, warm setting with white tablecloths and black banquettes. It opens at 5 from Tuesday through Saturday. Virant offers five and eight-course tasting menus. There are so many delicious dishes that you are pressed to choose one item from another. How about a first course of pan fried Great Lakes perch or a domestic cheese plate or chilled muskmelon soup or wood-grilled corn or the Vie charcuterie with country pate, coppa, summer sausage, rye toast, pickles and mustard or chicken milanese with smoked chicken and fresh peaches? Entrees? How about pan roasted Great Lakes whitefish or wood-grilled 12-pound New York strip or bratwurst sausage and smoked ham or wood-grilled lamb loin and BBQ lamb leg or wood-grilled sturgeon? Virant has a thing with wood-grilled. But it seems to work. For dessert, try the dark chocolate croquette with milk chocolate whipped ganache, white chocolate gelato, sable crumble and raspberry jam. Or cucumber sorbet with blueberry granita, sparkling heirloom lime soda and blueberries. Vie is a unique, one-of-a-kind restaurant. But what would you expect from a Michelin award winner?

Old time Neighborhood Cafe. Not fancy, actually well below fancy. Service is friendly, fo od is good , price is a bargain. Not a place to take your first date but a good place to go once your relationship is established. If she doesn't like it,, she's the wrong one.

Recently visited to meet a coworker. Pleasantly surprised at the amount of seating, Inside there were booths and plenty of table seating in the huge restaurant. I also believe there was outdoor seating as well. Was seated pretty quickly, and ordered a plate of yogurt... it was plain yogurt, which I almost passed on, as I really like vanilla, but glad I didnât. It was full of granola and berries. What made th yogurt especially good was, the drizzle of honey. It was probably big enough for me, if I had ordered a few slices of toast, but I wanted to try their omelets. I ordered their hippie omelette, and added ham. It was really good, and super filling. I think next time, Iâd order it with a smaller amount of goat cheese, as it was kinda overwhelming, but good. Excellent venue and would highly recommend!

I know this is a chain restaurant (about Texas and the Texas vibe) but this place just seemed even more contrived than a chain should be and like it was trying too hard, if that makes any sense. Two work colleagues and I sat at the bar on a weeknight to get a meal after work. The bartender lady was very nice and accommodating. I noticed that she seemed to know several other patrons as if they were regulars. Well nice. I avoided the heavy calorie meals by opting for a barbecue chicken breast with rice and vegetables. My meal was lukewarm. It turned me off.

In th Ed area looking for a 6am breakfast place. Big menus, omletes, skillets, pancakes the works. Great coffee, great service. Food was hot, fresh and coffee carafe on the table. My kind of place, I'll come back here if I'm in the area.
