I really fancied a Chinese whilst in Fontainebleau - read the reviews & then the hotel manager said that this was the best one. A short walk & found it - no real atmosphere in there, food was OK but it lacked something! Food was nice but we wouldn't rushed back. We went for a walk into the centre of town after & regretted not eating in one of the bistros which were buzzing & more fun!

Old decor. Old smell. Old aquarium. Old fish in aquarium. Almost always empty. Vast menu+little demand begs you to question the quality and freshness. Questionable hygiene. Everything tastes the same ie MSG. Only go if you are without wheels and starving to feed yourself

Located next door to the train station in Fontainbleau/Avon this place is great for a Sunday brunch followed by a brisk walk in the immense Fontainbleau forest or the enchanting chateau. They have a very large buffet offer which includes a "wok-shop". Food is always good and the drink menu is big enough, including real chinese beer. The staff is particularly pleasant and helpful and deserves an accolade. They will accommodate any order even if they don't have it in the menu. We have been here many times and they never falter.

To be fair, we showed up at 9:30pm on a Sunday night. The food was delicious - menu options are great, go for Y1 if you love all things salmon. Service was slow to take orders and follow up, although once we ordered the food came quite quickly. Would go again though as the quality of food was great!

I have been here twice and tried pretty much all their vegetarian - custom made recipes including bobun, pad Thai, sautéed noodles etc Unfortunately, all of them are disappointing. They have the same mix of legumes that they put in all of their veg-oriented dishes such as noodles or pad Thai. Couldn’t tell the difference between both. Bobun is also quite unoriginal. The service is slow and confused! I don’t recommend it for vegetarians or for a pleasant customer experience.

I liked the meal -- was looking for something good in the area that was not French bistro and I was certainly not disappointed. I experienced the food as authentic Japanese and as dishes that were not exactly like anything that I'd had before. So I liked the flavors, the presentation, the fact that the dishes were a little different than normal, and the service was good. I recommend making a reservation at least a day in advance, as they wouldn't answer their phone during the day until very shortly before opening. It helps to speak French to avoid any surprises in what you order, unless you are happy to just go with whatever -- it's all good.
