My husband and I are on vacation from the US. We went here for dinner. We were seated immediately in this quaint little restaurant and lucky for us our server spoke English. We ordered their ITALIENNE salad and the Sardegna pizza, which we shared. Both were great and we even brought the leftover pizza back to our resort. I would definitely go here again if we return to Vincennes.

French restaurant best known for meat / rottiseries / ice creams.
My husband and I stopped here for a cold drink after a long day of sightseeing and decided to stay for dinner. My steak was cooked perfectly, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his sole meuniere. The service was excellent, and the restaurant has an excellent selection of ice creams and sorbets for dessert.

Our party of 4 (including 1 child) had dinner here on a Friday evening. From around 8 pm both floors were full, mostly with locals, including a few families. The upstairs floor is cosy, with fireplace. Good decoration (traditional bistrot style), friendly atmosphere, the service was fine. The cuisine is high quality-brasserie type, which explains the prices (owner Pascal trained with some of the great chefs). We recommend the escargots, cream soup au potiron, sole meuniere and tete de veau (great!), plus creme brulee a la vanille and baba-au-rhum for desserts. Good wine recommendation(we had the Riesling). The restaurant is not far outside the peripherique and easy to access from east/central paris by taxi. Be sure to reserve in advance.Thank you for your visit. It was a pleasure to receive you.

Our restaurant is open from monday to sunday for lunch and dîner. We are located on Daumesnil avenue between two stations "métro Daumesnil" and "métro Michel Bizot". We are looking for your visit. The 217 team
Being in France, we wanted to eat something French, so a bit of research and a 15 minute walk took us to Le217 Brasserie, so named because it was located at number 217 on the Avenue Daumesnil. It was *very* French, so much so that the manager and waiters spoke very little English. That was fine though and there was no mistaking the warmth of their welcome or service. We arrived bang-on opening time but it soon filled up, which is always a good sign. In for a cent, in for a Euro with the food choices. We shared a starter of snails, which were beautifully cooked in garlic and herbs, but somewhat difficult for amateurs like us to extract from their shells. Clare had a fantastic bruschetta topped with ham and mushrooms for her main, while I went full-on French and had the steak tartare, resplendent with raw egg yolk and a side of chunky chips. Alongside this we enjoyed a carafe of a fantastic Beaujolais. For dessert Clare had the cafe gourmand - a coffee served with three mini-desserts (each of which were excellent). I went for an ice-cream which was also very enjoyable. For a great, traditional French meal a bit off the beaten track, Le217 is well worth the visit.

Wife researched this place before our trip, decided to go in the evening and took the metro from our Hotel In Montparnasse area (took 40 mins) but was well worth the visit. Very nice lady serving, chatty and helpful and friendly which made a difference. We enjoyed savoury and sweet crepes together with beer and cocktails.Recommend as itâs different and tasty!

Cuisine Tendance Et World Food
Don't expect "grande cuisine" but the simplicity, youth and creativity in the cuisine and the service all at a decent price makes it a place where you could come back again. That's a good option to go to in Vincennes, which is full of boring low-quality tradi/pizza/sushi restaurants and is appallingly poor in decent creative restaurants. So that's a 4 or even a 5 if you look through the Vincennes' prism

Reservation here is essential. This is a tiny restaurant, clearly always full. You are welcomed on arrival and the service throughout is attentive and when necessary informative. The menu contains lots of fish and seafood, though there's enough to keep the meat eaters interested. Everything we had was delicious, but the best was the langoustines.
