It is banquet dishes and cave bath of light stone hot spring, inn boasting gem dishes such as abalones.
The room is a little musty, but I liked the onsen. There are washing room facilities to wash clothes. the breakfast is traditional japanese which is nice - fish, pickle, dashi. Iki island is a lovely, quiet, undiscovered island. It has really affordable sushi restaurants. The staff have limited english so make sure you have google translate. Nice genteel older crowd at this hotel.

An authentic Japanese Style Accommodation(Ryokan). The hot spring which is slightly colored is flowing for more than 1500years and cures your sore back or fresh cuts and warm your body. The food using 100% Island's produces is delicious and chef's knifing skill is impressive. We will not recommend you to come over if you can not eat raw fish, however, the chef can provide boiled/fried/grilled fish or serve vegetarian food full of vegetable rice and Iki TOFU.

Iki island is located in distance of 20km from Hakata ctty of Kyushu Japan, and 120km from the southern end of Korean Paninsla. Iki, the small island, 17km from north to South, 14km east to west, was an intermediary point of culture, political and trade exchange between ancient Japan and China. The island produce everything except car and gasoline, high quality "Wagyu", vegitables and very fresh fishes, abalone and sea urchin. If you would like to see sacred music and dancing performed at the shrines, it will be in September. Prior checking of the date and time is recommended. Other shrines in Iki perform their own Okagura only one day during September to December. Kairi-Murakami is very comfortable modern Hotel. I haven’t given an Excellent review to any hotel because I don’t believe there is Perfect. Of course it is very subjective. However, I recently visited the Ryokan Amimoto in Iki Island Japan. I wouldn’t say it is perfect and there is always room for improvement. But it is Excellent in many ways. Our room was faced to the harbor with a small island and a shrine in fort of the hotel. We could see the sunset everyday. Room was spacey and clean. It was comfortable. The landlady Sachiko-san, she was very friendly. She always made sure the breakfast and dinner were ready for us. Food was fantastic and fresh. There was also some live seafood in the fish tank. But I need my coffee in the morning and veggie for my dinner. The hotel manager Sakai-san, he was very helpful and friendly. He came to pick us at the port and also gave a lot of suggestion and information about the island to us. At the end, he also dropped us to the port. Thank you Midori-san to arrange Ryokan Amimoto for us. It wasn’t perfect but it was Excellent.

**Note: you need some Japanese skills in reading and conversation to function. Only the waiter during dinner time could speak English well. This hotel caters to the domestic market and it looks popular. There were people walking around in the provided yukata. I bought the half board package - breakfast and dinner. It is well worth the price. You would not get anything cheaper for a Kaiseki dinner. Seafood served flipping fresh - they bring a tank of the selected live seafood for your inspection (still swimming around innocently in the tank) and then cook them. Saw some customers keep the oyster shells (restaurant oblige by washing it for them). Biggest oyster I have ever seen in my life. Lovely staff - very very hospitable . Lovely traditional tatami room - best futon to sleep on. Lovely view. Very comfortable stay.

The staff have limited English but very accommodating. Don’t worry, they will use a phone translator. Room small and a little worn - don’t expect a five star hotel - it is a typical Japanese business hotel. Good Japanese style breakfast. Don’t stay on the smoking floor - I had to take the smoking floor because no more rooms were available. It has laundry facilities. You may use their washing machine and dryer for a 100 yen. Big plus.

建物も部屋自体も古いのですが、みんなで一所懸命にサービスしてくれているので気持ちよかった。料理も豪華ではないですがどれも味つけは上手にできていました。大浴場も独特で雰囲気がありました。
