Me and my wife came to this restaurant by following the reviews at Trip Advisor, and for our pleasure, it was all worth! We loved the food, actually it's been quite a while since our last visit, but I took a photo of a dish that impressed me a lot: it tasted like a kind of cheese, so I asked the waiter, what this sauce is about and he told me it was fish's egg! On the picture, is a pink sauce, if you have a chance, try it! It's delicious!
I can't remember what else I had ordered, but I am sure it was all pretty delicious and the dishes were more than enough for two persons.
And finally last but not least, I can not left aside: we were very fond of the staff who attended and served us!
Sure it was really nice time and I definitely recommend it!

Went to dine here today with husband and 2 kids - a lovely restaurant and excellent value for money. Ate mountain of zucchini balls (delicious) amazing octopus in wine sauce, large plate of calamari and both pork and chicken kebab skewers (both come with chips) and had wine and beer and it came to €32!! Food was delicious and service good. No baby highchair but he stacked 2 chairs together and that sorted our 3-year old out and we held the baby. Really recommend this place if you're anywhere near Agia Fotia (it's also only 2 mins walk from the beach) it was a lovely meal.

We were staying in a hotel nearby and on the last night we decided to try one of the restaurants on the way back from Ierapetra. They all looked a bit gloomy and empty, so I picked this one as it had a nicer entrance. Once inside we gladly discovered that there were 4-5 tables full. We ordered a few starters to share and a main and they were excellent, certainly the dolmatas and the zucchini balls, but especially the chicken soufflaki. All washed down with a Raki, it was a very nice experience. Pity it was the last night, I would have gone back.

Situated directly on the beach, our taverna "Pelagos" awaits you and welcomes you. Our guests can enjoy Cretan home-made specialties that we prepare with great care while enjoying the view of the Libyan Sea. Our cooking is based on Cretan traditional flavors…a few of the dishes we serve are local meat dishes either grilled or cooked in our special wood-lit oven. Also rice-stuffed onions, chicken in wine sauce, squid with fennel, cheese pies, pies filled with wild greens, snail dishes, goat’s meat with artichokes, octopus with green peppers…and many other amazing dishes. You will also find fresh fish cooked in a variety of ways. All dishes are cooked with virgin olive oil of our own produce, accompanied by our home-made bread baked in our fire-lit oven. Also enjoy bottled wines or wines we produce ourselves, or our own raki. For dessert we recommend orange cake, walnut cake or fruit preserves that we prepare ourselves. Taste this big array of delicious and authentic traditional dishes in a warm and friendly environment. Let ‘s not forget : "Cretan cuisine means longevity"! (We are open from MAY to OCTOBER)

Very quiet when we arrived, but we were heartily welcomed, and the food was very quickly at the table. Tasty, and for once we avoided ordering everything that looked nice, so we didn't have to leave too much of the food. We decided to eat there another evening, but when on holidays the plans tend to be continually changing, so unfortunately this was our only visit. Since I was our driver of the rental car, I appreciated that the menu included some non-alcoholic beer.
