We were walking around McCall during the Winter Carnival. We end up in front of Growlers looking at their sculpture. We thought hey it is lunch time so why not try here. This is a grab a menu go to the counter and order your meal and they will bring it to you kind of place. My wife and daughter had a sandwich. My son and I had a calzone. And my sons girlfriend had a burger and fries. My wife and daughter really liked their sandwiches, the girlfriend enjoyed her burger and my son and I took our left over calzone and finished them later. ( Best Calzone ever!)We were so impressed we went back for lunch the next day.I can not think of a better review than by going to a place two days in a row.

This is a lively little our of the way place in the center of everything! The sandwiches are $9.95, and wine is VERY reasonably priced. Bocci ball court and great outside seating. The parking van be found by driving through the "tunnel" next to the McCall Hotel.

Nice ambiance, friendly service, and they do a great job with the food. Fresh ingredients, well prepared in interesting ways x we have been very happy with every meal weâve had here.

Some of our group of 9 really enjoyed the food but several of us did not. Their signature beer cheese soup was runny, we thought, although the taste was okay. Others in our group really liked the soup. The waiter brought our main dish before our salad which was crunchy and fresh. We couldnât eat our chicken wrap because the sauce in it was not good at all. The waiter was really nice though and offered us a sample of a beer he thought we might like. Of course, then we felt obligated to order one which was really not to our taste. Another couple shared a Ruben which they thought was okay but nothing special. We would not return but some of our group would.

We enjoyed likely the best coffee in McCall along with well prepared breakfasts. Likely a wait to be seated on weekends. Will return.

At Rupert's we strive to offer fresh, honest, clean, simple, good value food. Chef Gary Kucy places a focus on flavor with quality ingredients with a fondness toward ethnic flavors of the Southwest, Asia, and Mediterranean.
We were very impressed by the speed, accuracy and friendliness of all the service staff. We enjoyed watching them bustling around, while we sipped our delicious cocktails - Thai Whiskey Sour and Sazerac. Himalayan Momos (yak dumplings) were amazing! The salads before the mains were fantastic with a very light raspberry vinaigrette on fresh greens, with green apple sticks and blue cheese crumbles. There were only 3 sea scallops on my plate, but along with the risotto and the sauce, the entire dish was heavenly. The pork chop was juicy and very flavorful, also. Our "liquid dessert" was very enjoyable - Prickly Pear Margarita and Pear Martini.

Food was good. Service was slow. Appears management is clueless. Red bearded greeter was focused on surfing internet while customers waited. This restaurant needs leadership. Cook did good and food came out pretty fast and was good. Chocolate beer was tasty.

Apparently the kitchen was short staffed but the wait staff didn't bother letting us know when they sat us at our table. The waitress brought our drinks and then we waited almost one hour for 2 sandwiches. My husband had to ask for his soup, which the waitress could have served him right away. Everyone around us were in the same boat. Not a happy crowd. Only when they saw that people were very upset did they mention the short staff. We were traveling and it really set us back, not only that but I was starving by the time my sandwich arrived. We would have gone somewhere else had we known. It wasn't worth the wait. Very average food. If we pass through here again we will be eating somewhere else.

The definitive Idaho steakhouse where the singular focus is to distinctively serve the finest food and drinks in one the most stunning environments in the country.
We had dinner last night at The Narrows and had an absolutely lovely evening. The setting is exquisiteâand diners had the opportunity to watch as a double-rainbow developed over the lake! Our server, Brandon, was great; he was professional, friendly and very attentive. We asked he pace the meal slowly as we wanted to enjoy the setting and not be rushed, and Brandon did a superb job. The food was also quite good. We had a pork chop and a small (HA!) fillet (note: portion sizes are large). Salads were delicious as was our side dish of spinach and kale. We topped off the meal with the huckleberry creme brûlée which was lovely. And the wine list is wonderful! It does sound like a lovely experience. Thank you for sharing it with us! Weâre always happy to hear good things about our staff and will be sure that Brandon knows. Sincerely,Dan ScottGeneral Manager
