Icecaps and glaciers, spouting geysers and steaming solfataras, volcanoes, raging rivers and magnificent waterfalls, a bevy of birds, cavorting whales offshore and much more are on your Iceland itinerary. Among lively Reykjavik's multitude of attractions are Hallgrimur's Church, a bevy of geothermal baths and sizzling hot nightlife. The Icelandic capital is the starting point for the Golden Circle Route driving tour through the southwest. The mineral-rich Blue Lagoon is a 40-minute drive from the city.

Our flight had been canceled and rebooked and they payed for our stay here. Wonderfully accommodating, delicious food and helpful and respectful service. Even received a taxi ride courtesy of the front desk to the airport the next day. Highly recommend

The 2 of us stayed 3 nights at Hótel Flókalundur with our 9y grandson. We made daytrips in the vicinity and visited Rauðasandur, Patreksfjörður, Bíldudalur and Selárdalur. A whole wing has recently been added to and our room was in the new wing. The room was very spacious and clean. Since we were traveling with a child they offered a matrasse on the floor incl breakfast at an extra cost of 4000 per night so all in all the overnight stay for the 3 of us incl breakfast was around 27.000ISK which is very good for the quality of this place. The person that cleaned the room took care enough to leave the childs bed in a very kind way of arranging the teddy bears in a new way every day. The food was good. Breakfast very nice buffet style where you could make waffles. Dinner menu is good too with proper food and also pizzas and burgers although I rather recommend the proper food over the fast one. To get there we took the ferry from Stykkishólmur and drove Barðaströnd on the way back. This place is only 4 hours drive from Reykjavík and certainly worth the visit. Located in the place where Iceland supposedly got its name.

Very small room. Surface 13 m2 including bathroom and 'kitchen'. 30 km to Myvatn and 30 km to Husavik. No coffee shop, supermarket or restaurant in the proximity. You have to walk 200 m to the breakfast room. If it's raining you get wet getting there and agian going back...Water in bath stinks of sulphur.

Room was averagely ok. Was about 10 mins drive from airport. Location is apt for people landing late in the evening and need a place to crash. Few issues with the room. Washroom was not to the expected standards. No soap / shower gel in the dispenser. Broken shower / bath tub from plug not there ...

We are a hotel and a guesthouse in Breidavik, we also have a restaurant and a campground. We are located by a beautiful beach, only a few minutes drive from Latrabjarg bird cliff.
My friend and I stopped in to grab something to eat on our way back from látrabjarg. There we met Birna, who was such a wonderful host and a joy to talk to. We both got the soup of the day and the fish. Both dishes were so good that we basically licked our plates clean. I would definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking for coffee, tea, or something tasty to eat!
