Highly recommended by our tour guide, this was an excellent choice for dinner. Just a leisurely walk from our hotel, it saved us having to go to town. We strolled back along a dimly lit street but it was safe because other people were walking too. Bring along a sweater.As the name indicates, it is located by the lake, and probably extremely popular in summer. We were there off-peak season. We had a private room upstairs. There were 12 of us. We left the selection to the guide. The plates were generous, which is usual for China. And the prices very reasonable.Our menu was called: Far East Local Meal.1. Eggplant w String Bean 15 Yuan2. Fried Cabbage 18 Yuan3. Farm Duck in Hot Pot 78 Yuan4. Beef in Hot Pot Soup 138 Yuan (unanimously voted best dish)5. DuoBao Fish (Steamed) 68 Yuan6. Cold Sea Conch 68 Yuan7. Hairy Crab (11) (Steamed) 528 Yuan (served w black vinegar ginger dip) 8. Vermicelli w Vegetables 28 Yuan9. Fried Meat in Farm Style 28 Yuan10. Steamed Braised Pork 48 Yuan11. Poached Whole Chicken 78 Yuan12. Rice (11) 26 Yuan13. Tissues 6 Yuan14. Towels (12) 24 Yuan 15. Beer and Tea and Dessert 87 YuanThe grand total was 1268 Yuan which comes to about 105 Yuan per person.We brought our own bottles of wine - no corkage. Service was excellent. We requested for less oil in the dishes and the restaurant obliged.The hairy crab is a seasonal delicacy, and is optional. Each crab costs 48 Yuan, a definite bargain compared to similar hairy crabs served in a Shanghai restaurant. If we hadn't included this dish the bill will be reduced to 740 Yuan or about 60 Yuan pp.

Foi uma jantar perfeito para mim, o ambiente era super legal e tudo bonito. Pedimos prato de pato, arroz, etc. Tudo estava muito bom!

环境很好一家湘菜馆，味道做的很有当地风味，辣椒十足够劲。分量也很足，觉得在这么好环境的餐厅来说算是很便宜了。辣味香干口感很好，味道也很棒。
