Really enjoyed the pizza. My wife split a pizza with her half being the California Veggie and mine being the Five Cheese. The waitress told me I could a couple toppings to my side and it would still be the same price. It turned out they charged me for two additional toppings and I had to go to the manager to get the additional cost removed. However, the service was still very good along with the food. I would recommend eating at this place just watch your receipt.

We have been eating at La Carreta in different places over the last few months. We ate at our 1st one in Hammond La. back in July and it was good so a few weeks ago we were in Sevierville, Tn and found one there it was good too. Then I remembered we had one in Medina, Tn just a few miles away from us. We went there tonight and wasn't disappointed It was just as good if not better. We will be going there all the time now. It has a great atmosphere and the food was great.

Busy Friday night about 6:30 they got us a table in just a few minutes. The soup was fast to the table the server was very friendly. The entrees were very slow. It was over 30 mins. The two filets were large and very hot. The fish is really good. The hush puppies need a lot of help tho. The baked potato, mushrooms were good as were the white beans, all three bites of beans were good lol. Not sure why so few beans they are not expensive. The place was busy, food and service were good. Glad we weren't in a hurry tho. Waitress brought ticket and didn't ask if we wanted any deserts.

Even though Humboldt only has 2 true Mexican restaurants in town, this one is by far the better of the two. The staff is always friendly and the food is always amazing. This is a regular stop for us whenever we eat Mexican...which is at least a couple times a month! They're close to home and quick with their service. Cannot beat the staff! Well worth a try!

Our family of seven had a wonderful lunch at El Sombrero on Saturday. We arrived in the early afternoon and they were not busy, but I believe they are extremely busy at noon and at dinner time. The lunch menu was quite reasonably priced and the food was delicious!
El Sombrero starts guests with plenty of fresh tortillas chips and salsa. We ordered a large cheese sauce for the chips and it was some of the best I've ever had in a restaurant. Two people ordered quesadillas which were immense. If you want a reasonably sized lunch, only order half of a quesadilla! My lunch, a tamale and enchilada combo, is pictured below. Another adult ordered fajitas and they were correctly served in a fajita skillet with fresh sides. The children were also very pleased with their chicken tacos.
Mexican food is some of my favorite and this little restaurant off the side of the highway in Medina was a delightful surprise. The dining room is gorgeous! I did not get a picture of the beautiful Mexican dresses mounted on the walls, but color is everywhere! I would recommend El Sombrero just for the festive, fiesta atmosphere. The food was also very good, definitely enough to satisfy a Tex-Mex lover.
Next time you are in the area, be sure to give El Sombrero a try. The staff is polite, the restaurant is spotlessly clean, service is excellent, and you will enjoy a great meal!

Fresh made from scratch Southern California Mexican.
Service was very slow. Servers kept bringing the wrong orders to people. Food was bland. Not your typical Mexican restaurant. We would not eat there again. Our apologies for your experience, our computer system's printers unexpectedly went down right in middle of dinner rush and made it very difficult to identify which orders went where. We have since replaced the faulty printer.

This small locally owned restaurant has been noted in the magazine "Garden and Gun" for its local flavor.......no pun intended!. It is so respected among it's Southern peers that when a fire put it out of commission; a cadre of barbecue aficionados from across the south pitched in labor and resources to see it reopen. It is worth your while for their pulled pork and home made pies!

We've eaten here twice. Both times, the food was really good. Except the fries. They were more like chips. Extra crispy. The country fried steak and hamburger steak were both delicious. The mashed potatoes were great. The desserts are to die for. The wait for the food is a little long and the service is hit or miss. Once was good and the next time, not so good. We will eat here again and not be in a hurry because of the great food. We will send the fries back if they come out crispy again.

Ate with Mom and wife and catfish was excellent, as was hushpuppies. Country atmosphere is reinforced by rough hewn wood inside and out. There was a party going on in the back and they were enjoying themselves. Waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and helpful. Dinner with dessert was $52.

Visited here after I got done working in Trenton, Tn (about 10 min away) luckily they were still open another hour. Our food was received quickly, and was very good. Salsa is also good. We were only 1 of 3 people eating in here so service was great. My husband got a fajitas plate, I got a small order of cheese dip and a steak taco, a drink, he got 2 beers and our total was only $23! I thought that was VERY cheap for what we got. Would recommend and eat here again!
