The place was filled with nostalgia. It was our first time, but we felt really comfortable. The servers were personable and had many suggestions. The food was really good. We drive through the area with some frequency and we will surely return. It's so much...MoreHi Miss Mem, Thank you for all of your kind words about our atmosphere and tasty dishes. We're glad that you will be back in to dine with us again!

Stopped in for a sugar fix and glad I did. The apple fritter was very good. I stopped late in the afternoon so the selection was limited but all left looked very good. The fritter was fresh and great flavor. The customer service was excellent. Stop in here when in the area!!!

My kids love coming here. I have to admit it is a treat because its not the normal fast food. The chicken fingers and burgers are always good and there are so many choices of sweet treats to enjoy. We stop in everytime we are in the area.

Two things stand out about Church's Chicken. The wonderful taste, and the fact that it is greasy. I usually get chicken fingers, because they are very tender and crispy.

Bob Sykes has been in business for several generations now and is just as good as it was when it started. The pulled pork is excellent! They have such good fried okra that we sometimes go by just for it to go with a meal...MoreThank you for the great review and comment! We will continue to work hard everyday to provide you the best. Looking forward to serving you again very soon!

Gus Hot Dogs in Hueytown is the best hot dog place ever. I use to love Sneaky Pete's but my husband introduced me to Gus and I never ate another Sneaky Pete's. Gus hot dogs have this special sauce with a spicy kick but not too hot. They are just delicious. The only problem is the place is small and if you go around 11am to 1 pm it's packed. So I would call my order in or go after 1pm. Give them a try you won't be disappointed.

I ordered the beef burrito dinner with rice and beans. There was absolutely no flavor in the burrito itself - meat had no seasoning on it. To make it palatable, I mixed the rice and beans together, added sour cream and a little taco sauce. Definitely won't visit again - the food has gone downhill since our last visit.

The food is out of this world. Alligator and a potato with a drink for only $12 can't be beat. But much as I love the food, the business is run so unorganized it's embarrassing. You can put your empty tea glass on the outside of your table and a server with a pitcher of tea will just walk on by. You don't get a refill until your server comes around (if they ever do) the owners feel the need to make excuses for every bad review (all about customer service) on Facebook that I feel sorry for them. The place isn't very big, 10 tables at the most, but you can't get the customer service part right. You have to pay at separate registers depending on whether you're paying with cash or credit. If you order take out you are made to wait in a room that is about 8'x10' that also houses the restrooms. They will rudely tell you that you can't wait in the dining area when placing a to go order, even when it's not busy. It's really a shame, because the food and value is unreal.

We went there to eat lunch after church. Hamburger steak and country fried steak are some of our favorites. Everything was delicious. I am taking off one star because the country fried steak wasn't hot, but barely warm.
