We are kind of "regulars" in this restaurant because of the good atmosphere, good quality fresh food and the good wine. The chef and his wife, who also serves in the restaurant know what it takes to please the customers. I definitely recomend this place!

I went to this 1 Michelin star restaurant with a friend and we had a 3 course lunch. The experience started already very wrong as we entered the building and didn't find the restaurant. Finally we encountered a young woman who brought us to the diningroom. The room was nicely decorated. The lady in charge had a little smile when she brought us to our table but the rest of the personal (all young men) were polite but without a smile. It made us feel a little unwelcome. The food on the other hand was perfect : original, lots of taste, well presented on the plates. With our coffee they came with a kart full of selfmade sweets from wich we could choose to have with our coffee. Conclusion : the food was Michelin star quality, the service was not.

This is a nice little restaurant near Hasselt. A restrained stylish décor, tempered lounge jazz music, correct and friendly service and most important : good food. We had a 4 course dinner (with a small sorbet between 2nd and 3rd course), prosecco aperitif with appetizers, 1 bottle of tasty white Burgundy wine, 2 bottles of water and coffee for €137 for the 2 of us.

Inside the unassuming exterior of this Italian restaurant guests will be surprised by the modern, yet cosy, interior. There’s a nice welcome as well. The menu is varied and there a good choice in drinks as well. Because of the menu and the casual atmosphere this restaurant will be suited for children as well. The lunch consists of a couple of courses and is very nice. Add the good and friendly service to all of this and the outcome is a really nice place to have a meal.

A spacious Italian restaurant with outside Seating. The food is homemade and more than ample, even the house wine comes in Litre bottles. Good Italian basic food at a reasonable price and massive portions. Friendly service and to be especially recommended to the hungry.

Our very nice bartender at Ter Dolen called and made a dinner reservation for us at Enfin. We took his advice and set off down the road to this restaurant we had never heard of. We found ourselves in a small, intimate restaurant full of interesting aromas and cushy white armless chairs. Thankfully, the waitress spoke English, though the menu is certainly only available in Dutch. She helped us choose an appetizer, which was a terrine of sorts. I could make out what a lot of the main options were myself, but we chose to split a dish for two that we could not translate called Côte à l’os, just to see what it was.
We made a good move; côte à l’os turned out to be a delicious piece of rare roasted beef served on a bed of roasted vegetables with sweet potato puree alongside delicious Belgian fries and a cheesy béchamel sauce. Though the menu said the dish served two, we could have easily split it four ways. The meal stands out among the very best I had in Belgium. Sure, it took a while to get out, but I could see the chef preparing the whole meal fresh.
Later, the waitress brought out her full selection of teas so that I could choose from them myself. She accommodated us so well, even though we could not speak the language and the restaurant probably does not receive a lot of business from tourists.
I would highly recommend this restaurant to any folks traveling from Achel or Ter Dolen to Brussels.

Sjiek ('Fancy') is an easygoing brasserie-style restaurant. Mixed audience: couples, friends but also families with kids.
You can eat both in- and outside. Place is always fully booked (no Reservations taken for dinner), but waiting time is mostly not longer than half an hour (you can take a drink at the bar section).
Decent food. Think of salads, pasta's and both meat and fish dishes.

We had lunch at this place when it was quite empty. Service was very friendly and professional. Food was good, but also quite expensive, considering the setting and location. Overall recommended for the better Greek food.

We had a pizza with Parma, ruccola and parmigiano and fresh tomatoes as starter which was super. The pastas are made a La minute and are heaven on earth all with fresh products and flavors unimaginable. A place where you can't find a second off in Belgium.!!!!!!
