Reviewed By patentedmovesThe restaurant was good and the surroundings are really nice. It is not far off the highway so it made a nice stop for us. It was a bit disappointing and problematic that they don’t provide a small fridge. Since there is no store close by and people staying here do active things like hiking and cycling, this oversight is real. It is a bit older and the pool is not heated so staying extra days might prove disappointing, but a 1 or 2 night stay could be enjoyable.

Reviewed By annieworkThis is a really lovely place, situated at the side of the road but a nice surprise when you enter the restaurant. Clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The food was outstanding and the service was very good. Will definitely return. Well done.

First stop on vacation

We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was great.i had a schnitzel that was super, it came with a very tasty salad and French fries, my wife had asparagus/shrimp ravioli with a salad that was also very good. They had several local beers on tap that were served with the advice of our waiter. It felt like a local hangout for families and friends. Our waiter the owners son was very nice and accommodating to our odd questions and lack of German language After dinner we strolled through the nice village. Our room had a small patio to relax on before going to bed. In the morning we had the breakfast; it had everything I could want, it even had an egg casserole that was nice.I will recommend this as a stop if you are nearby. Thank you to Zum Ochsen for a great first night in Germany.

Nice venue for conference
Reviewed By kimjimOur company any had a meeting here and overall, it is a nice venue. The rooms are average, but clean. The bathrooms are small. The food is fine with a variety of buffet items. Since our meeting was in August, it was very hot and with no air conditioning, it was almost unbearable. I would recommend visiting in the cooler months.

Reviewed By NikJAte here, but stayed just further down the road… Food was very good and Bavarian, with beer drinks on tap... staff friendly and helpful Ate out the back, in beer garden, so it may look quiet as you enter from the main road. Cheap and cheerful....
