The food here was really good MEXICAN food ... not some watered down "Americanized" version of Mexican. Not the very best I've ever had, but certainly adequate. Prices were fair and (I admit, most important to me after a long day of hiking in Mammoth Cave) margaritas were GREAT.
I noticed that most of the negative reviews were around communication with the staff. I can't find a way to complain that there are actual Mexicans working in a Mexican restaurant. (get over yourselves, people) Yes, it was a bit of a challenge at times to communicate but if you want gluten free, vegan, or free range chicken maybe you should go elsewhere! If you want good, authentic Mexican food ... great place!

Vintage American Casual Restaurant located in beautiful Cadiz Kentucky in our brand new wonderfully built agriculturally inspired building . Live Piano music most nights, attentive staff and hand crafted food and cocktails. Our Executive Chef, Brett Clayton prepares delicious and eclectic dishes on our extensive menu. There is a memorable evening waiting for you to discover here at Harper House. Stop in or plan a special occasion with Chris and Nelson Daniels at the Harper House. We also have banquet facilities for parties of 12-130 guests.
We went with a group of friends. I did enjoy the deviled eggs. But then not much else. Our waiter was nice but did not refill drinks when needed and had to ask a few times. We had to request bread after we saw everyone else getting it with drinks. My husband ordered a bourbon but never received it. And my steak was burnt. CHARRED. It wasn’t over the flame taste. It was eating crisp black burnt. As was my friends steak. I didn’t want to complain due to the group we were with. Others seemed to be enjoying their meals. So as I was leaving, I picked up a card that said “if you can’t rate us a 10, please call me personally”...so I did, twice, never got a call back. So unfortunately I wasn’t impressed.

Pizza was ok but not great. There's a pizza buffet that comes with the salad bar. Better than some of the local options but don't expect anything great. It felt like the buffet at Pizza Hut.

With a crazy high heat index we needing something to cool us off. The place was busy, but the staff was very efficient and we got some cool treats in a timely manner. Parking is tight and on a hill for the most part. But tou cant go wrong with DQ

Several people recommended this restaurant so we came here a a good day at Mammoth Cave National Park. We had 4 adults and 5 kids and were seated immediately, ordered drinks and had chips/salsa served. The restaurant quickly filled up after we arrived at 5pm. Our food was served in a timely manner. All our meals were very good and well seasoned. My son and I both ordered the Allan Special which was a lot of food. The kids all enjoyed their food. The location is very close off I-65 toward Munsfordsville. We quickly return if back in this area.

What a treasure of a find while on our weekend trip to Cave/Horse City! The prices are fabulous! With such great deals, I loaded up two carts and my daughter loaded up one. Beware that many items are expired, so check the dates and make good choices. I bought some beef jerky sticks and, so far, two of them were spoiled. That was disappointing but only out $1, so not a big deal. We also bought some fresh donuts from their bakery and they were delicious!!! Next time I'm in that area of Ky, you can be sure I'll be shopping there again!

Stopped in here for dinner while passing through on a road trip. I've been craving BBQ chicken forever, but the menu implied that it was grilled chicken that was then coated in sauce (which is NOT real BBQ chicken.) I figured you can't go wrong with BBQ ribs, and ordered a half a rack. They tasted like cigarettes. Literally. Not a lot of BBQ sauce taste at all. There were bottles of sauce on the table, but I shouldn't have to sauce my own order. You advertise BBQ ribs? Bring me BBQ ribs--with sauce, that don't taste like cigarettes.
The place was busy with take out orders, so maybe it was just me. I can say that the staff were nice, if not the most attentive.

This is a restaurant that is just off the Interstate and surrounded by gas stations and fast food. Very touristy area with Mammoth Caves nearby. It’s a new restaurant.
The good: portions are huge! I had the 1 lb potato with bbq pork, bacon, sour cream, butter and no way could I finish. My wife got the “pulled” pork (more on that in a minute) and again it was way more than she could eat. She really liked the pickled beets. Drinks are large.
The bad: This is not a high quality BBQ in our opinion. Very little flavor. No smoke that we could detect and if that was pulled pork, then someone has meat cleavers as fingers. It was chopped. The Cole slaw was similar to what you would find in any grocery store. Service was very slow. It took almost 45 minutes for our meal to be served. At least 3 other tables who ordered after us received their food first.
Overall it was filling but was not particularly tasty. Next time we would drive the extra distance to Smokey Pig in Bowling Green.

This particular location struggles and Idk why. Usually it's good but occasionally you get poor service and poor quality of food. My husband and I both got the hashbrown casserole, his tasted sour, mine did not. I wasn't offered cornbread or toast as an option and our waitress while sweet as she could be was not attentive at all and seemed to be playing roll of bust boy as well. My country fried steak was tough and my husband breakfast platter was the skimpiest I've ever seen them come. He wasn't given options either so was brought grits that neither of us would eat. Upon checkout I noticed the lady next to us said she was dissatisfied with her visit as well, she was offered a manager to make things right but declined, we were asked and just said things were ok, truthfully we should have spoke with the manager, they can't improve without our feedback. I really don't know what has changed if it's new cooks, practices or what but our visit was disappointing for the 2nd or 3rd time in all the dozen visits we've ate at this location. I can only hope it's fixed soon. They stay busy here. Best wishes. Please if you eat here and are not happy, take the time to let them know. I wish we would have and I believe they are trying. It's not always bad but our timing the day we went was. It was very busy. We had to wait around 15 mins for a table.

We usually like Subways. This one was out of many menu items, and the counter person seemed totally uninterested in being there. The sandwiches we got were good and up to Subway standard, but was not what we wanted. Very disappointing.
