Geoff Whitehead says "All our fish and chips are served fresh, for a taste you'll want to come back for again and again". Whitehead's - East Yorkshire's first MSC certified sustainable fish and chip shop - is set a stones throw from the Yorkshire seafront at The Greenway, Trinity Road, Hornsea, near Hull, East Yorkshire HU18 4SL. Whiteheads traditional fish and chip takeaway and comfortable 70 seater restaurant offers diners the choice of eating in or taking away to enjoy at home or at the nearby beach. Whitehead's cater for people with gluten intollerance, with a large choice of gluten free options, as well as vegetarian choices. All food is freshly cooked to order in pure rapeseed oil, so you can enjoy the wholesome goodness and taste of our fish and chips.
Much debated by folks in Hull but in my view the best and tastiest fish and chips ever, the batter is fresh and fragrant and the in - restaurant tea time special with dessert is extremely satisfying. Enough said, always worth a visit.

We had a fantastic meal here and staff were friendly. The bar was relaxed and we waited for our table which was not a problem as we did not book. The food was excellent including the drink and menu all brilliant. Thank you all. Shaz?

Pub & Dining. Independently Run Pub In The Heart Of Rural East Yorkshire.
A Beautiful Country Pub. The Falcon has taken us back in time, how pubs used to be. Felt so comfortable, to sit at the bar before a meal. The owner/manager so sociable, along with his staff. We found the food to be superb, blackboard special! Steak with trimmings, also a good menu. We will be back. Thankyou.

The restaurant was surprisingly quiet however the welcome was great. We had a 1 year old child with us and the staff could not have been more helpful. He was provided with a popadom whilst we selected our meals. All courses were excellent and the selection is larger than most Indians. Well worth a visit.

I regularly visit family in the area and cannot say how many times I have passed this pub / restaurant , which is situated on the main road that runs from the Leven bypass into Hornsea.
I have driven past so many times and wondered !
The pub / restaurant sits on a bend in the road in the village of Seaton ( if you are driving - blink and you could drive straight past )
The pub/ restaurant has a decent sized car park just off the main road and has a lovely beer garden at the back.
Inside is tastefully decorated and well laid out , warm welcoming atmosphere and lovely open fire.
Everything and everywhere was spotless
There is an extensive menu along with a list of 5/6 daily specials at very reasonable prices
We choose from the daily special board and opted for braised lambs liver & sausages with mashed potatoes and fresh veg and lightly breaded plaice with fresh chips ,peas and salad
The food was freshly cooked and piping hot
The liver dish was to die for , liver was braised to perfection and all veg including the mash potatoes were fresh vegetable beautifully presented and garnished
Fish was cooked to perfection and salad crisp and fresh with a excellent selection of ingredients
Portion size was very generous , hence could not order a dessert.
However desserts were homemade sticky toffee, syrup and chocolate puddings with ice cream ( next time )
Who ever cooked for us that lunchtime clearly has a real passion for what they do and the food is prepared and presented with love and attention to detail .
Both the pub and the restaurant are a hidden gem and must be tried.
A special mention to the lady behind the bar that lunchtime ( petite and bubbly with a ponytail ) nothing was too much trouble
Cannot recommend highly enough as you can probably tell from the review - really great food , will visit again and recommend to anyone I know
Would give service , food and valve on this review 5 stars across the board , only this part of the review appears not to be working .

We really enjoyed this garden centre, it has a variety of items for both home and garden. We actually went for our Sunday lunch, they make a beautiful carvery. They make a variety of scones and cakes including gluten free cakes.
I really recommend this place to eat.

Cafe and Chocolaterie. Also offers fine dining evenings 3 fridays a month.
Been here twice now for a cake and a drink, excellent both times. The ginger cake was one of the best I have tasted, not dry as it can be sometimes. The coffee and hot chocolate are delicious (properly made with chocolate as well not a powder). Want to try a meal next time. The staff are very friendly and a free complimentary chocolate when you leave (try the plain choc & chili).
