Nice selection of doughnuts. Better then Krispy Kreme and Dunkin Donuts. Love the apple fritters. Get there early for the best selection. Also, sell tamales.Thank you for your business and kind words. The apple fritters are a favorite. And we also make blueberry fritters on the weekends. Try them sometime.

Did not know Memphis is Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas. So where which state did Memphis bbq originate? Don't know the answer, but would love to know the answer. Diners, Drive-in's, & Dives on the food network did a segment here. In Mississippi, does it mean Memphis BBQ comes from Mississippi or Tennessee? I got the barbeque sampler. Expecting a lot, I was not disappointed. We are from NY & NJ. Transplanted to the Carolinas. Vinegar base is fantastic. I have bought packaged Memphis BBQ in the store and never impressed. This meals was just right. Not heavy on the sauce and smoke. Still a vinegar lover, but a better appreciation for real Memphis BBQ. My wife had a chilli burger and loved it.

Eaten here many times. Love it! Last week we stopped by and my son ate the chicken quesadilla which was huge and I had the shrimp enchiladas which were very good, very cheesy. The best thing I’ve ever ordered is probably the chicken dirty bowl. They have several to choose from or you can build your own- good choice to do. The chips are homemade with smokey paprika sprinkled on them (I think that’s it.) Lime rice is soooo good. This isn’t your typical Mexican restaurant on every corner. The food is wayyyy better. Portions are good sized, prices are fair, service has always been good. The patio seating is nice too. Do NOT the forget bread pudding. I’m picky about this dessert and they NAILED IT! I recommend this place- good food!

Love to go to Chicago to eat! Unfortunately that’s not always an option when you live in a suburb of Memphis! Wise Guys handily fills the bill! INCREDIBLE Chicago pizza and dogs at awesome prices. They offer vegetarian pizza, and can accommodate some food allergies. The service is stupendous! If you are ordering a deep dish, you may want to order it 15 minutes before you arrive, or drink their beers, daiquiris, or margaritas while you wait. This is a casual, family dining area with red and white checkered table cloths- nothing fancy, but with several TV’s with sports on. We ordered a small deep dish, 2 Chicago dogs, chili cheese fries, a margarita, and a beer with a $9 tip.... $49 I highly recommend you bring friends and make it a night!

Texas Roadhouse is a steak restaurant providing legendary food with legendary service. Texas Roadhouse specializes in hand-cut steaks, fresh-baked bread, fall-off-the-bone-ribs, and made-from-scratch sides. We also serve ice cold beer and legendary margaritas. Treat your family and friends to a night at Texas Roadhouse.
Our family from Tampa, FL told us about this restaurant so we were glad to see one when we visited Southaven. Everything was delicious! Best Prime Rib we've had in years. Couldn't believe the sides were fantastic, too. And they were not exaggerating about the ribs falling off the bone. Grilled shrimp was perfect, not dry or overcooked. Also, the service was great, and they gave us complimentary green beans when they found out we'd never been to this restaurant. No wonder, they were so flavorful! So if you like steak, ribs or seafood, plan a trip to this restaurant. We're going back tomorrow.

My meatloaf was delicious, excepting that I couldn't get any mashed potatoes with it (good thing I like their hash brown casserole). My wife's chicken fried steak was disappointing, mostly because she can't have the hash brown casserole (allergic to cheese).
It was 8:45pm on a Saturday night and they were out of mashed potatoes. How do you enjoy chicken fried steak without mashed potatoes? That's like having cobbler without ice cream. Especially for a restaurant offering country style home cooked food.
Instead of the desired mashed potatoes, my wife had corn and green beans. Unfortunately the juice from the two veggies made the crust on the chicken fried steak less than crunchy. Hence the disappointment. I would have sent it backed and asked for breakfast instead, but my wife wouldn't do it.

I stopped in to try Gus's fried chicken for the first time. I ordered a chicken only pack and found it to be better than average fried chicken. However, the price of the chicken seems very high. This is not a place I would return to because of the price of the chicken. After all, this is chicken and not steak or lobster.

The food is always consistent and good no matter which location we visit and the staff is always nice. There is a good selection of options and they also have a pretty good drink menu, if your tired of the chains, give this local place a try. If you go on the weekend you may even catch a live band
