Laid-back, low-profile Honduras is one of Central America's largely unknown tourist destinations. A recent proliferation of domestic flights has opened up the Bay Islands and the major cities of La Ceiba, Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula. Buses, taxis and dug-out canoes provide other transport options. The Maya city of Copan is a UNESCO-designated heritage site with a ball court, an Acropolis and a Hieroglyphic Stairway. Other sights include El Cusuco National Cloud Forest Park, home to quetzal birds.

Location: West Bay Beach, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras, Central America (15 minutes from airport). Accommodations: Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths (Sleeps 4-6)Keywords: Luxurious Condo Resort 2BR/2BA at Infinity Bay Roatan. Planning a vacation now to leave in the fall? Location Location Location. The most beautiful upscale resort which is called Infinity Bay Resort located at West Bay Beach, which is one of the top beaches in Roatan, Honduras and of the Caribbean. The reef is only yards away, which is the second largest coral reef in the world. Swim with the turtles and an abundance of marine life, go diving and discover more, or use our complimentary kayaks and Breakfast Included. Local activities, include scuba diving, sailing, fishing, canopy tours, horseback riding, and much more.
Infinity Bay Spa & Beach Resort We ended up here as a result of our delayed travel plans. On the day of our departure, all flights to and from Roatan were cancelled; their airport fire department’s truck(s) weren’t working so it was too great a risk to have aircraft come and go. So we got “stuck” in paradise for 1 extra day… which delayed my return to Alaska 4 days. In the end, I paid an additional $1300 for the earliest ticket, days later. I digress. This is a beautiful, well-maintained, upscale, beachfront condo/resort in iconic West Bay Beach of Roatan, Honduras. It offers a free shuttle to and from the airport but they ask you coordinate it at least 48 hours in advance; however, that doesn’t mean they won’t still accommodate you with shorter notice… it just isn’t guaranteed. As you walk in, you’re greeted by air conditioning - a welcome reprieve from the heat and humidity. To your left is a gift shop/boutique with a wide range of souvenirs, t-shirts, swimsuits (in case you forgot yours), cover ups, hats, insect repellent, etc. As you continue past the front desk, on your left is now the Tiki Cup which has snacks and drinks for sale. Exiting the welcome area you’ll encounter the garden courtyard with a huge, colorful, ROATAN sign for your picture pleasure. The pool isn’t far and as you walk along the path passing the dive shop and pool you’ll encounter La Palapa, an outdoor bar and restaurant with fans. If you’re lucky, you might be able to get seated with front row seats (practically) to the most beautiful (and bustling) beach. If not, you’ll have umbrellas and seated tables in the way. The yucca and plantains are on point! I was pretty excited when I saw the sea bass on the menu but was less than impressed when it arrived over cooked. ✨ THE HIGHLIGHT | I’ve traveled the world and NEVER seen water as clear as what I experienced on that bright sunny day on the beach. Absolutely immaculate. I can’t stress it enough. No seaweed on the beach, crystal clear water and a super comfortable temperature. Not too warm, not too cool. ✨ The beach does have vendors walking about selling shirts and other local odds and ends. They weren’t overbearing or hovering. If they ask, and you’re not interested, simply say, “No thanks.” And they’ll be on their way. It’s also pretty busy and loud. People are on vacation and REALLY enjoying themselves! So if you’re searching for a little seclusion and peace and quiet, this is probably not the place to stay but a great place to visit. Beaches are public property so you can still visit if you’re not booked at the property. The wifi is great and the 2 BR condo with 2 balconies we booked in the 900 building was fantastic. It was probably the furthest room from the beach but had more privacy than just about any other room, lovely views of the garden and forested area outside, a/c, and plenty of space. The bottle of wine and plate of fruit was a nice touch. There’s a spa on site but I didn’t have an opportunity to use it. They also have security but it seems like an incredibly safe place; however, just like ANYWHERE else you go, don’t leave your electronics or high value items unattended on a beach chair bc it may just go missing. If you’re looking to be located in the hustle and bustle of West Bay with easy access to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, this is the place for you. You’re also close enough to walk to the Semi Sub Glass Bottom Boat for some very epic scenes of the reef.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Lodge at Pico Bonito about 20 years ago after it first opened, and I've been dreaming about getting back ever since. I was delighted to discover it is every bit as wonderful now as it was then: beautiful, well-tended grounds, gorgeous cabins, delicious food, and above all, a fabulous staff that go to great lengths to make your stay enjoyable. Don't miss the early bird-watching excursion--it costs extra but is totally worth it.

Our group arrived at 1PM very hot and ready for a drink by the pool and the beach. We were told no admittance to the rooms or the resort until 3PM! This is a beach resort and it starts getting dark shortly after 5PM. Finally he said if we each paid $25 we could use the facilities. The resort is fine but the staff or the resort policies are terrible. Lots of garbage around the pool areas and loud music blasting during the day. We will never go back there.

Henry Morgan is an All Inclusive Resort located in the best beach of Roatan, West Bay. Our mission is to anticipate and deliver on the dreams and expectations of every guest's perfect holiday.
May 2022 Unfortunately, our stay at the Hotel was not very pleasant. If it hadn't been for the Zumba with the entertainment guys, the wineny cafe and the natural beauty of the beach... The Hotel alone leaves much to be desired. To start the day we arrived we had to take our bags to the room because they don't offer baggage service like any resort. When we went to eat at the buffet, it was infernally hot, I don't know if the air wasn't working... and not to mention how dirty the floor and doors were. Speaking of doors- the one in the stores were disgusting... ;( When we got to the room, we were greeted by a cockroach, said cockroach was in the room for 5 days (For FREE). My husband had to ask one of the housekeeping girls to please clean the properly clean the room and to please remove the cockroach. There was a constant bad smell in the room, which we discovered came from the bathtub drain. ;( The toilet and the sink were visibly dirty even after the daily housekeeping, and that I remember, only twice in 8 days did the room smelled clean, and the second time it was because we had to ask the housekeepers to please clean well and that they remove the cockroach that we had as a tenant in the room. Ahhh. The first day we had to clean the shower, because the water did not come out of the shower head because of the amount of accumulated lime. Going back to the buffet, the food... what can I say about the food... it doesn't seem like we were on an island... just chicken and pork and sometimes fish. The snack bar on the beach… no comments… On Thursday the TV stopped working, and it stayed that way until the Sunday we left. The boy who came, took a box from the room and never came back... The pool area and bathrooms. OMG ?... Instead of a pool deck, it looked more like a roof deck with roof shingles everywhere and everything faded. I never saw anyone get out of the pool to use the restrooms nor did anyone test the PH level of the water. Public restrooms in some restaurants on the island were in better condition. The fact that a so-called RESORT does not have telephones in the rooms... ??? now I understand I think it's unnecessary for me to tell you that this has been the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. To summarize, I don't understand why they call it a RESORT!

La Ensenada Beach Villas & Resort is located at Bahia de Tela (Tela Bay) on the North Caribbean Coast of Honduras 90 km to the west of International Airport of San Pedro Sula. An excellent paved highway connects Tela to San Pedro Sula and further onto La Ceiba city which is a little over 100 km east. Bahia de Tela offers the most beautiful white sand beaches in Honduras, surrounded by lush tropical mountains and botanical gardens, natural reserves and wildlife refuges, as well as the cultural experience of the Garifuna Culture.
Despite the cost for a family of four at La Ensenada for a one night stay being greater than the governmentally mandated monthly minimum wage, porter service / help with luggage is not offered, or at least has not been, in numerous times that we have spent at La Ensenada. Other than that the service is good.

Enjoy the best of the Caribbean at Fantasy Island Beach Resort, Dive and Marina! Our Roatan, Honduras resort is located on its own 21 acre private island.
Im saddened to read all the bad reviews from 2022 We visited in Feb 2020 and really enjoyed our stay. We had a small issue with hot water one day and it was soon resolved. my partner said she thought the room was a little musty but I did not notice. The food at the buffet was quite good even though the there was not a great selection but at least it was all good quality. I did not like the soups because they were all sweet but thats just my preference. As far as wait staff and tipping issues I found it hard to tip anyone in particular as the staff that cleaned the plates away and brought drinks just seemed to switch around and didnt appear to be so interested in tips. In fact we took a boat trip to see the sloths and the staff left the boat before we could tip them. the only real downside to the place was the pool didnt feel so clean, we are not pool people but we do enjoy to take a dip occasionally. I would love to return but not sure after reading the 2022 reports. but I have noticed that there are bad reports from the time we were there and we didnt have the same experience.

The newest and most luxurious resort in Roatán, Honduras, Grand Roatán Caribbean Resort offers visitors a relaxed, luxury boutique experience on one of the most magnificent beaches in the entire Caribbean.
Marcus was the best. He kept the drinks coming to the beach all day- he even delivered to the water. The hotel was under construction but it was nice that it was not extremely overcrowded. Down the beach was much more congested but many more food option. The food at the hotel restaurant was ok, limited selection that got tiring after a few days. The free breakfast was great always- options varied daily. Water was beautiful, reef was some of the best I have ever seen.
