Stay for a week for the War Weekend.Been coming for at least 12 years!! Always come here to eat when in Sheringham. Be prepared to wait on the Saturday and Sunday, it does get very busy. Remember the staff are human, not robots, be polite. Have eaten twice during the week. Food is fantastic. Never had a bad meal. Staff are friendly and polite. Highly recommend.

What do Private Fraser and Sergeant Wilson from "Dads Army", Rene and Yvette from "'Allo, 'allo", Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery have in common? They are all featured on the front of The Lobster in the centre of Sheringham. While my wife was shopping, as this pub isdog friendly, I called in for a coffee. It was just before lunch time but there were hardly any customers and no atmosphere. The service was OK but that was all, Whilst the paintings on the outside are great, the "garden" seating area needs some attention

Extremely warm welcome from both the staff & the locals. 50p each per day or £3 each for a week to become temporary members. This is well worth it as a pint is at least £1 cheaper than any of the town pubs. Also there is the added bonus of Dee's Diner, fabulous home cooked food with plenty of choice for mains & also 'the to die for' sweets. the food is also reasonably priced & a lot better than some of the 'plastic/reheated food served in some of the town pubs. Friendly club where people actually come & chat to you.

Went here for dinner with the family and was most impressed with the service and the food and it was an excellent meal thoroughly enjoyed by all of us.The portion size is certainly enough to satisfy a healthy appetite and we enjoyed it so much that we are going back again in the next couple of days and would throughly recommend this place for a good meal.Staff were friendly and service was very good.Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent visit to our establishment. We are all pleased you enjoyed your meal enough to give us such an excellent review and to patronise us again on a repeat visit. This is testament to the hard work of all the staff in providing quality food and service. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Feathers Hotel on your next visit to North Norfolk.

Sunday lunch and not many people dining here., we dined alone in the garden. Good points- attentive staff and varied menu. Bad points- roast pork had no flavour (although vegetables, gravy & potatoes were good) Vegetarian chilli was awful - microwaved rice and no garlic bread even though it stated on menu. Nice chips arrived later but the grey chilli made from tofu? Soya? Quorn? I wish it had said on menu. Maybe we made bad choices? But we will probably steer clear in the future.

We really enjoyed our visit for Lunch. The seafood was superb - really good indeed. The atmosphere and staff were very welcoming. Lovely table by the log burner. Prompt service. Nothing to fault. Packed out so clearly popular. Definitely recommend and hopefully will eat again here in the future.

A traditional countryside pub, restaurant and B&B, located on the North Norfolk coast, near the Georgian town of Holt. Off the beaten track, The Wheatsheaf resides in the tranquil village of West Beckham.
Visited recently... Have visited previously but has recently changed ownership. Atmosphere was very friendly and accommodating. Food was very well prepared.. but i did expect a larger serving with some form of potatoes for the money...not just a small salad .. had a side order of fries at £3.00 which i thought was an expensive addition to what should have been included with the meal..
