Recommended by the hotel staff for our late lunch and really dinner. We ordered shio, å代ç®miso & spicy miso ramen. Surprisingly the shio is the best. It is really different, the shio ramen at outside japan are very salty but here tasted light and good. It is better than the miso ramen we ordered.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Hakodate (if not Hokkaido), and every person I take here falls in love with the soup curry. Soup curry is a local Hokkaido dish, so it`s definitely worth trying while visiting, because it`s not widespread throughout Japan! The process of ordering is a bit confusing, so I`ll explain here:First, you choose your base ingredients - veggies, chicken, pork, etc. Then, you can choose your toppings. Then, if you want a regular amount of soup or extra (for no charge). Next, if you want either garlic oil or coconut milk, and how strong you`d like it.Then, how much rice you want (again, you can get a medium for no extra charge). Then, finally, how spicy you want your curry. It`s a bit of a process to order, but completely worthwhile, and rare to find a restaurant so willing to specialize their dishes in Japan! I highly recommend it.

Famous seafood restaurants. 10 minutes drive from JR. Hakodate station. This is a good restaurant with a wide variety of Japanese food offerings in a tourist district of Hakodate. The environment was good, the service fine and the standard of food pretty much as expected. It was however fairly average.

This restaurant is quite near the Hakodate Morning Market. We entered the shop with no expectations and for no special reason, and after a hearty meal, we left really excited by our good find. Pity we found this place only on our last day.....The menu is quite extensive with something for everyone: the usual donburi, Ikura over rice (of course), tempura, ramen.... They also have meal sets that come with rice and soup --really good value for money. We especially enjoyed the kani tempura that we ordered 3 servings of it.

They say when you're in Hokkaido never leave without tasting their original yakiniku. I'm talking about the famous Genghis Khan, Hokkaido's famous local dish. You might be wondering what sort of meal Genghis Khan is? It's all about grilling mutton in a special grill that has a raised mound on the center. Grilling the mutton with other vegetables like bean sprouts and onions, and then dip in a special sauce. I'm a big fan of yakiniku, but never have I tried tasting lamb meat. Yes, it's like an ordinary meat except it has an after taste, but I still liked it. The dipping sauce has the right balance of sweetness and tartness that goes really well with the grilled vegetables too. This is something that you shouldnât miss when you are sightseeing in Hokkaido.

This chain restaurant is right across the courtyard from La Vista hotel. You order from a picture machine and take your ticket inside where you are seated. Comfortably casual with couples, families, and groups. Service is quick and friendly. We had the gyoza, chashu ramen, and shiro ramen, all very tasty. Perfect for a quick meal or late snack.

Came here by accident as it was raining really hard and didn't want to go too far from our hotel. We ordered a few types of their ramen and they are all very good. I think the pork soup is better than the chicken broth though. The noodle was cooked to perfection and the egg....the egg was one of the best egg I've had. We had to order extra egg each.Definitely recommend this place anyone visiting Hakodate.

Must try their (Hakodate) shio ramen, if you are first time here. Shio ramen taste are light compare to other type ramen. Later, I order (Muroran) curry ramen, this one taste heavy, should place the order at last. Both are good, but I like the curry more.
