Things to do in Kutchan-cho
Creative cuisine of Japanese and Western cuisines around the world, beer, wine. Buffet breakfast, lunch & dining bar, You can enjoy it in various situations.
This restaurant is quite new and they are trying VERY hard to get some tracktion. They were offering free drinks to people on the chairlift to get them to come in to the restaurant and bar. The decor and ambience of the restaurant is modern and nice, and once inside, it seems there is nothing the staff won't do to make you happy and comfortable. They have some great international beers available, and a pretty good cocktail and wine list, and I know we are in Japan and I'm being picky, but they are pitched towards the international traveller so I think I could hope to expect that they understand and speak English a little better than they did. They made up for their lack of understanding by their enthusiasm. The food was excellent when it came. We started with a shared charcuterie platter and garlic bread, and also asked for a cheese platter (which did not come because they misunderstood). These were lovely. For appetiser we also received the french fries that we hoped to get with our mains... and so, for main, most of us had steak which was really good. Tasted fantastic and cooked to perfection, but served with nothing at all... our french fries were gone before we received our main. This can be an excellent restaurant but if pitching to the western market, needs to understand how we do things in the west. The other reason I point this out is because it wasn't cheap... so if I am going to pay top dollar for an attempt at western food and service, I'd like to get my money's worth. What they need to get to where they want to be is is a manager who is a Westerner... but restaurant is still worth a visit.
Nestled a few minutes drive from Hirafu, it’s worth the effort to try this place. Came for dinner and sampled the Chef’s taster menu and what a delight it was. Evidently delicately prepared, and ingredients paired to please the palate, will certainly come back on a future visit to Niseko. Staff were friendly and engaging. Also surprised by how tasty the coffee was.
New opening on 15th December 2018. We offer creative dishes that combine Japanese and French cuisine using Hokkaido ingredients luxuriously. We arrange regional number one sake and wine to prepare a wide range from full course to a la carte, vegetarian me
We did an impromptu visit for dinner and they picked us up at our hotel and we had an amazing dinner. As heavy snow fell outside they carved roast beef, delivered French inspired Japanese delicacies and were so eager to please. The wine list was great and not unreasonable. The architecture is so on point and little touches like the wallpaper and candles in the snow wall outside make it a memorable restaurant. But it’s the staff that are 10/10. Brilliant night. Thank you very much for coming and also thanks for the positive comments. We are glad that you enjoyed the dinner. We will provide seasonal Hokkaido ingredients, kinds of wine and friendly service for you all the time.Hope to see you again!

Located on the 2nd floor of the new Odin Place, KOKO serves a tempting array of roast coffee, freshly baked breads, croissants and pain au chocolat as well as a selection of cakes & healthy juices.
Very good coffee and a their chocolate muffin was delicious ! :)I went there for a quick breakfast with my wife. We grabbed coffee and some pastries to go while we walked around and shopped. It hit the spot (especially the nice warm coffee on a freezing cold day)

This place was originally a Belgium Cafe in the old building which has been demolished. The new building is called Odin Place and the same Co opened The Alpinist on the 3rd floor which is a very average pricey French Restaurant. I do miss the old cafe which had great coffee and amazing gallettes. May I suggest that the owners write to Tripadvisor to remove this listing which creates confusion.

Located on the top floor of Odin Place at the center of Hirafu, The Alpinist serves authentic Alpine cuisine, including crepes, galettes, fondue & raclette, whilst showcasing dramatic views of the Annupuri mountain to the crackle of an open fireplace. Ope
Each time we go to NIseko, we are eating a The Alpinist because we love cheees and. this restaurant is smartly mixing french and Hokkaiddo cheese in its menu. The service is good. The restaurant situation is great too. Only few points on which they could work on. it is 5 year since I have tried this restaurant so I feel that despite the good service the restaurant start to be a bit "pushy" to client for spending money.2nd point we have eaten yesterday "une raclette" for 2 where no bread was proposed at all. As a Franc-Comtois, this is a little mistake.Only the soup à l'onion is a joke in the menu but business is business they say.

This is an excellent restaurant in all respects. The dinner is top notch and a little pricey but worth it. They do weekday lunch specials which are excellent value and you would normally pay double for the meals offered including Pork, Salmon, Pasta, Venison or Steak during August, from 1200 JPY, and add 600 to include salad, soup and dessert. There are free flow teas and bread table. It's a lovely venue and staff are professional and discreet. Top notch !

My wife and I treated ourselves to Kamimura for her birthday. The entire experience was superb, from the moment Jack greeted us at the entrance and guided us to our table, chatting charmingly. Wiggy served us, with the right balance of engagement and stay-back. Her description of the complex combinations of ingredients were superb. We went for the wine pairings with the set course, and the sommelier was really great. She had picked very interesting wines, some Japanese ones (watch out for J-wines, they will be great in 10 years). We loved it. The entire restaurant joined my jovially when I burst out into song (happy birthday), as Wiggy set down desert, with a sparkling candle set into the ice cream. Kamimura himself came to say hello at the end, he was charming and deservingly proud of his “product”, including his team that delivers the service. Great night
