Reviews on European food in Biei-cho, Hokkaido, Japan. Biei-cho is an artist’s canvas of snow-capped mountains and fields swaying with lavender, poppies and bright seasonal blossoms. Art galleries feature the beautiful handiwork of local artists inspired by their surroundings, and the Panorama Road is an aptly-named path to all kinds of sites, particularly local farms and craft workshops. Sup in a charming café to get the true essence of Biei-cho.

Went to this place by referral from our travel agent.. we took the 6 course lunch.. all is gorgeously presented, and super delicious.. all menus are served from locally produced vegetables, and meats. Besides restaurant, they also have a small cafe selling ice cream and pastries and small shop next door selling high quality Biei rice, veggies and local snacks. Overall I would recommend this place to anybody who would like to try locally produced vegetables and meats.
Where to eat French food in Biei-cho: The Best Restaurants and Bars

It was cloudy and slightly drizzling but that didn't spoil the mood or food. The food is cheap considering this is fine dining. As I like French Føod concept, this little restaurant suits me just perfect and I was so mesmerized by their care and attention to details. Føod is great and delicious, although in Europe you will probably get a lot more good bread. Atmosphere is perfect.

This cottage-like restaurant was not easy to find. We initially went to the nearer building. Perhaps so many diners made the same mistake that there was a notice indicating this building was not the correct one, though the car park space was shared. The restaurant was just 50m walk towards the forest. When we were there on a weekday around 2pm, we were surprised the dining hall was empty, except one family there. The interior design was cosy and homely.I ordered their signature dish, i.e beef stew set, which included soup, salad and choice of bread or rice. The beef was tender and soft, the sauce went well with rice or bread. Price was reasonable. Overall, a great dining experience. Highly recommended.

"There is a shortage of employees, so the restaurant is open at 10:00 and last order is 4:00 pm.And we do not accept meals for groups of 7 or more" This restaurant features a homemade ham and sausage factory. Expand the forest and lawn on the site of 3000

Situated in a neat and small house near the Biei Railway Station, the Cafe was thoughtfully decorated with simplicity. The menu was limited as certain items were not available but food was both delicious and pleasantly presented. Out of the 3 main courses that we ordered, two were of great taste while the signature plate was simple and bland, in our opinion, as all ingredients were boiled but definitely a healthy option. All came with salad, bread and soup at a reasonable price; dessert at extra cost.Take note of its different opening hours for weekday / weekend and try to go early as it was a small family run Cafe, they would only operate while stock last.
