Advance reservation is necessary. We use 3 different type of crabs and local vegetables. Enjoy our crab course dinner and Japanese SAKE that best matches with our dishes.
The set dinner includes cold hairy crab with vinegar and crab liver, yummy snow crab hot pot and grilled king crab legs. The cost per person is about $75 USD, fairly reasonable. The traditional ambiance further accentuates the flavor of the dishes served.

Came across this intimate bar close to our hotel and were blown away by the incredible food . Nothing disappointed yet the highlights were eggplant, tuna and avo salad and the molten lava chocolate pudding. Like a tapas fusion . Will definitely return.
Niseko Bion aims to bring you the best & freshest Hokkaido meat, seafood and seasonal vegetables on a traditional Italian firewood cuisine style. Boasting a carefully curated list of Italian and Australian wines that pairs excellently with the course menu
Had a slightly unusual experience at Bion. We walked down through heavy snow (weren't offered a pick-up which is slightly unusual in Niseko) and arrived at the restaurant to find we were the only diners, and were seated at the "Chef's Table", or a counter facing the galley kitchen. The meal was excellent - a set-menu - with a huge plateful of meat and cheese for my wife, and a tasty bean salad for me for starters. This was followed by deep-fried veggies (sort of like pakora or tempura?), a large frittata and excellent dessert. We would have probably preferred sitting at a normal table (which we expected would fill up sometime soon but never did) but in the end did enjoy chatting with the chef, who warmed up considerably during the meal.Service was very good (we had the staff to ourselves!) and it was a pleasant evening in the end, even the walk back home through deep snow (it had stopped snowing at least)...

10 mins walk from Kutchan station. You turn left when you see the information Centre on the left side of the road and big neon signs shows this restaurant. Seats about 20- 25 people so you might wanna book in advance.Very homely, traditional setup. Seems to be husband and wife operating it.Loved the sushi / sashimi. I just wouldn't recommend the abalone since it is very hard when raw and didn't taste good as a sushi or sashimi. All the other usual fish breeds were available and Toro was awesome of course.I even tried whale which I knew I shouldn't and I regretted since it wasn't that nice and looked bloodied. There is no ramen or udon. All dishes were cold. They allow smoking inside the venue and the 2nd time we went, they had WIFI setup. If you crave for fresh sashimi / sushi, definitely give this a visit.
New opening on 15th December 2018. We offer creative dishes that combine Japanese and French cuisine using Hokkaido ingredients luxuriously. We arrange regional number one sake and wine to prepare a wide range from full course to a la carte, vegetarian me
We did an impromptu visit for dinner and they picked us up at our hotel and we had an amazing dinner. As heavy snow fell outside they carved roast beef, delivered French inspired Japanese delicacies and were so eager to please. The wine list was great and not unreasonable. The architecture is so on point and little touches like the wallpaper and candles in the snow wall outside make it a memorable restaurant. But it’s the staff that are 10/10. Brilliant night. Thank you very much for coming and also thanks for the positive comments. We are glad that you enjoyed the dinner. We will provide seasonal Hokkaido ingredients, kinds of wine and friendly service for you all the time.Hope to see you again!

We had an Excellent breakfast at The Vale Bar & Grill -delicious Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and my husband loved his fluffy pancakes with berries served by the friendly Lisa B. Best thing though was the excellent coffees made by Barista, Lee C. Thanks Lee for the chat and best coffee we had in Japan -we only regret we found your great coffee on our last day in Niseko and not the first day!Thank you very much for the feedback. Our breakfast has been a huge success this season and our baristas are perfecting their coffee art! We look forward to serving you again in the future. Thanks

This was a great sushi experience - the Nigiri are made one by one to your request, and you control what and how much to eat. Quality is top notch: great, fresh fish and delicious rice. One word of warning - this quality comes with a (high) price tag, as we ended up paying 6,500 yen (65$) for 22 pieces of Nigiri, which is just enough for two not-so-hungry people.

Robatayaki is a style of cooking that originated out of Hokkaido fishing villages centuries ago. In the old days, fisherman would take boxes of hot coals out on their boats for warmth and to cook offshore. Upon returning they would cook with their familie
A very attracive restaurant with excellent Michelin standard food. This is really incredible find in the middle of such a small town in the mountains of Japan. Everyone need to visit. This grilled cooking is expecially good during the winter when the snow is falling heavily outside as in our ski trip.

Seating 40 ,Located at the heart of Hirafu, Ryunabe is a small boutique fashioned restaurant in traditional Japanese style. the design reflects the ambience of a classic Japanese bistro, with beautiful use of timbers to greet you upon arrival . 36 Hours B
We went Ryunabe after our first day of ski. We splurged with the wagyu beef and picked the chinese Fish maw soup base and the spicy soup base. The set also came with fish balls, udon and vegetables. While the price is on the high end, the meal was excellent. The place is a bit hidden behind the Hyatt hotel, but definitely highly recommended if your budget allows.

Ezo Seafoods specializes in pristine Hokkaido seafood. Since 2009 it has been our mission to serve this as simply and freshly as possible to our guests. We also offer cold seafood platters for takeout.
We really enjoyed our dinner here.....the quality and selection of seafood was amazing. We started with delicious oysters on the half shell, split a king crab leg (which was exceptionally well prepared), and then had the whole snapper with sweet chili. The snapper was one of the best seafood dishes we’ve had anywhere, it was so perfect. The owner was very helpful in making selections and the staff was very friendly and efficient. We would go back in a heartbeat. Make sure you have reservations........
