Recommended by our children who live in Mikasa, the food was great and Mama-san was friendly. Like many restaurants we visited in the area, the menu has pictures and the water is self-serve. Good basic home-style (in my limited experience) Japanese food.

It is in the middle of no where. Perhaps, the only place after Tomita Farm until Sapporo. They have an English Menu and the owners are lovely.

Takeaway yakitori. We had this on our way to Sapporo from Furano. It was super delicious. The chicken was grilled to perfection - tender and moist!
