The municipality only comprises the town of Hoeilaart proper. On January 1, 2006, Hoeilaart had a total population of 10,074. The restaurant is located 2 miles off the motorway, direction La Hulpe. The chef/owner is serving typical Belgian dishes of excellent quality/price. Good was the game menu I had, which was not too complicated but just balanced nicely.
Overall this place you should visit, if you are again stuck in the Brussels ring, and you want something better than the typical motorway food.

We went to this place last weekend. Food (eel as well as the côte à l'os) was good; we regularly received fresh baked warm French fries; the ice cream Antillaise was delicious. The red wine was also very good.
Personnel however was not too friendly and it is a pity that in a restaurant located in a Flemish municipality some personnel didn't even understand/speak Flemish.
We asked for a "doggy bag" because all the food was not eaten; when we arrived at home we saw that the food was wrapped in a used bread bag! We think that for this kind of restaurant this is something "not done".

Good location:huge parking place in front (Carrefour supermarket). friendly service. Very trendy place (it's the place to be for the BW). Very noisy. Quality of the food is bad!! The only good thing that I ate were the French Frites. The price is: expensive brasserie.
