You can enjoy the beauty and calm of the Štiavnica hills to your heart's content in the Hotel**** Salamandra which lies in the middle of the Salamandra ski resort. The four-star hotel combines the high quality services and unique gastronomic experience from the kitchens of chef Ľubomír Herko with the quiet charm of the Štiavnica countryside. Hotel guests can make use of the wellness centre, squash court and multi-purpose gym. The hotel also offers premises for organising conferences of up to 130 people. Thanks to these qualities, the Hotel**** Salamandra is ideal not only for families with children who want to enjoy a comfortable ski holiday in the closest resort to Bratislava, but also for more demanding guests or those who enjoy an active lifestyle.

Reviewed By KristiDrThis was our third visit in last 6years. We like atmosphere of Banska Stiavnica a lot and this hotel was our repeated option due to previous good experiences. Accomodation is perfect, rooms are nice and clean, but the quality of restaurant and bar declined. A la carte menu was significantly reduced, offering only few meals really. and also the service was not sufficient (really too long waiting times, also waiting for clean table be ready, etc.). The stuff is friendly and doing their best I believe, but some of them were obviously not experienced and generally, more of them would be needed. One explained that reduced menu is consequence of covid19 pandemic due to which they are suffering from lack of qualified chefs and waiters… which is a shame. I do not think I would reconsider to come back.

Our new elegant hotel is situated in the heart of Slovakia. Decorative rooms, friendly staff, wellness area. It is suitable for organizing celebrations and weddings. The nearest ski center is 5 kilometers away.

Reviewed By BPS31Top class hotel. Lovely room and bathroom. One small quibble - only 1 English speaking TV channel (CNN). 2 fabulous dinners - steak and burger at excellent prices. Would highly recommend for both a stay and dinner.
