どれも美味しそうなので店員さんに
オススメをたずね、一番人気のロールケーキにして正解
差し上げたところ、地元で人気のケーキ屋さんで好きな人が多いらしく好評でした

If you enjoy Yakisoba and happens to be in this area, this is the place for you. Good texture fried noodle with lots of bean sprouts. They mix normal noodle with some crispy noodle in their dishes. It give a special mix texture in you mouth. The stir fried noodle is just about right and taste just about right. I am glad my friend took me here. We are on route to Fukuoka from Oita. Lovely.

ツアーの予約まで３０分しかない、と伝えると、早くできるメニューを教えてくれ、実際注文から１０分かからずに提供してくれました。焼肉が有名だそうですが、注文した穴子天丼もさくさくして、なかなかいけました。

The restaurant is introduced right on the city map while no others are. Therefore, I suppose it could be the signature in the city or something.
We tried the small eel rice at 2,600 yen per share, which was spent for great values! They offered 4 kinds of side dishes for the eel rice: spring onion, wasabi, pamelo and turnip. All four were perfect matches for the eel. Personally I appreciated the spring onion the most, for its light flavor adequately supported the eel.

かんぽの宿のお姉さんに教えてもらった、最近地元で一番人気の日田焼きそば店です。着席するとすぐに白濁したスープが出てきます。豚骨スープのようですが、ニンニクも豚骨も(恐らく)入っていない、穏やかな味です。焼きそばもすぐに出てきました。確かに美味しいです。東京で食べた日田焼きそばとは全く別次元ですし、しつこいだけで何が良いのかわからないのにいつも行列の神保町の人気店に長時間並んでいるお気の毒な方々に是非食べさせてあげたいです。ところどころパリパリするが、麺が焦げています。確かに麺を焼いていて、まさに焼きそばです。そういう意味では焼きそばの王道かもしれないですね。尚、ここの地名は隈(くま)です。

木の花ガルテンの中でも日田市寄りに位置します。雨の日でしたが結構にぎわっていました。このへんの農産物をふんだんに使った料理が美味しかったですね。

ウナギは年々高騰して、金額が上がっていなくてもウナギがどんどん小さくなる実質的な値上げが続いています。しかしこの店は、値段は上がってきていますが、量は変わらない良心的な店でもあります。かば焼きは、肉厚があり、ふっくら感があるもので、香ばしさが秘伝のタレ（福岡県の甘いたれと比べるとやや辛口でしょう）と相まっておいしさが倍増です。いまどき3千円程度でこれくらいのものが食べることができるので、日田まで行く価値は十分にあります。

まだ暑さの残る時期だったので、ラーメンを取りやめて日田焼きそばにしました。大盛焼きそばにしました。豚骨スープが付いています。この店の焼きそばは、日田焼きそばの代名詞であるパリパリに焼いたそばでなく、比較的柔らかい焼き方です。モチモチした感じが残って自分には食べやすいものです。モヤシはシャキッとした食感、これに少なめの豚肉が入っています。さらっとした味のソースがまたいいですね。

疲れたのでちょっとお茶と甘いものを求めて入店
久々に食べたお団子がやわらかくてかなり美味しいですよ～
お茶にも意外とコーヒーにも合いました。

こちらは、もやし多めで、麺太めで噛みごたえあり
色は濃いめですが味は濃すぎず、油も若干控え目で美味しかったです
