Secret Garden Bakery is located inside of Wisteria Cottage on Main Street in High Springs, just north of Gainesville. Secret Garden Bakery serves up delicious cheesecake bars, cookies, cake, pound cake, specialty brownies and more.
I am new to the area and was delighted to find this bakery when driving through town. I love their different pound cakes and different bars. I already tried lemon and pecan bars and they are wonderful. There are so many choices that you have to come back regularly to check it all out. And while you are there, more stores to discover. Thursdays is Farmer's market.

This is a charming place for mid-day treats. The baked good are always fresh and very reasonably priced. The surrounding store boasts nice things of a "country nature." The service is very good and very friendly.

Beautiful and delicious cookies, great coffee, cute cafe - they make their own syrup. The smell of the cookies and cupcakes baking was amazing. We stopped in for a little treat and we were so pleased. I highly recommend the baked goods and the salted carmel lattes.

We had been going to Conestoga's for years. We stopped going once we felt the service had dropped and the restaurant needed a face lift. We gave it a try recently and our server, Brooke, was wonderful. Looks like the carpets have been replaced. I had the chicken stuffed baked potato. The salad that came with me wasn't that great, however, the potato more than made up for it.

We were back here in a couple of weeks only to find out our rental house needed some work. We needed to eat and this place was fantastic!!! We had breakfasts and lunches/early dinners here and each meal was great! The staff is great and the owner is a wonderful man.
Everything we tried was so good, it makes you want to give up cooking ( don't worry honey, I won't).
I really can't say enough on how we enjoyed our meals and given the chance do try!

After eating supper nearby we stopped in for dessert. Even though is a small shop there was a very nice selection of flavors to choose from including GF and Vegan.
I couldn't decide but after trying out 3 samples settled on the mint chocolate chip, yummy!
Even better than the ice cream though were the owners Bobbie and Doug, they were so sweet and so friendly! Wish we lived closer but for sure the next time we come anywhere close to downtown High Springs we will be stopping in to say hello to our favorite ice cream scoopers and enjoying some cold and creamy treats!

We have stopped in the Station Bakery & Cafe a few times over the years on our way to or from Shands Cancer Hospital in Gainesville, FL. High Springs, FL is about 22 miles from Gainesville. We discovered this little family-owned and operated bakery about 2010 on our first trip back from Gainesville. At that time it was located in the old train depot in the heart of town and it was such a neat little place; however, there wasn't much seating in the station. It was still a cute little railroad station and part of the history of High Springs. That particular day I had a tossed salad that was quite large, fresh, and delicious. After dinner, we bought some of their delicious pastries and our grandson had ice cream. All of the desserts we tried were absolutely delicious. On our next trip, I bought several slices of cake to take home, which were just as delicious. Now they reside in a small building on Santa Fe Blvd that looks like it might have been a Minit Market. The recipes for the desserts have not changed and the owner and his daughter were there working. The cream puffs and eclairs are delicious, and their whipped cream filling is the absolute best-tasting whipped cream I've ever tasted. I wish I could get hold of their recipes for my own use. I've never task\ted whipped cream like that before ... and I bake cakes and desserts myself. The owner and his family are very nice people and he gives you your money's worth in the large slices and servings he serves you. We have not eaten any of their sandwiches, so I cannot comment on those, but I'm certain they are very adequate, fresh, and delicious also. I highly recommend you stop by the Station Bakery for lunch, dessert, or both; take a breather and visit the cute little town of High Springs with its antique shops, eateries (we like Bev's and the Outdoor Restaurant).

This is a locally owned restaurant in Alachua with good service, and a nice selection of pizzas and Italian specialties.
We tried the penne with peas, bacon a red cream sauce. It was delicious and a very generous portion. The rolls which precede the meal are yeasty, warm and soft.
We will definitely return to try more menu items.

You will be pleasantly surprised, this is authentic Italian cuisine. The owner is a little hard to understand however it doesn't take away from the flavors of the food. It's more of a takeout, they do have a few seats if you choose to dine on their patio. A+
