INATORIGINSUISO is located on the east coast of Inatori Onsen of Izu. We are hot spring inn with a history of more than fifty years. "Hospitality" We believe it's the most important. There is a "customer expectations for service" slightly above "customers request". So think of is, is our "GINSUI people". We can understand it by each and every staff do their mind. And, it will come true in that we serve with a compassion. We believe so. Onsen with a origin, Izu of food, sea sparkling in silver, hearty dolls (it is called and hung chick) .... And we will provide the hospitality of GINSUI. We are looking forward to your visit.
About a two hour train ride away from Tokyo station, a fantastic Japanese inn with hot spring. Our room had a hot spring in our room which was great. Definitely recommend this place to get away from the city and just relax. The food was great as was the service.

Spend my Valentine’s Day here, the view and the dinner course meal was fantastic (Kaiseki Ryori) The best dinner I had during my trip in Japan. If you want the full experience a two night stays is recommended but if you just want a memorable experience 1 night is good enough but make sure to check in earlier if possible.

A little late with my review since I went in June 2018 but here it is anyway... The service here is spectacular and they seemed to go the extra mile to accommodate us, but the facilities were a little tired and needed some updating. It also seemed like we had come in the off-season since we were one of only a few guests there for the night. This did make the onsen visit even more relaxing since I pretty much had the place to myself the entire time. The kaiseki meal that they prepared for us was great and I highly recommend you request the meal because we took an evening stroll and nothing else was open that night. Overall, a relaxing night although not much else to do in the town.

It was a pleasant and relaxing visit to Izu hot springs. The city is smaller but so many beautiful things to visit. I advise you to walk around (it is really safe) and to visit the Japanese mask museum. 900 masks.

We stayed at the Katara over the New Year in the Monarch Suite Room (Type B) on the top floor. The room was quiet & comfortable and in a good position over looking Atagawa (if a little eccentrically furnished with lots of clutter). The indoor pool and children's play room make it an ideal choice for families while the onsen and restaurants will please the adults. The set course in the restaurant is worth the extra fee. We've never had so many main dish courses, those which are usually offered as a choice in other ryokans and hotels were served in succession. The buffet breakfast and dinner in the other restaurant were also plentiful. The hotel is trying hard to revitalise itself and there is a general feeling of a gradual return to it's prime. Saying that there is still a way to go so don't pay over the odds.

This hotel is a Japanese-style hotel in a small seaside town. It is about 2 hours south of Tokyo on an express train. The hotel is close to the Izu-Atagawa station and provides a shuttle to and from the station, which we did not know when we booked. Take this shuttle if you want to avoid a hike up a pretty steep hill with your luggage! We also did not know that meals had to be reserved ahead of time, but fortunately we were able to find small restaurants in the town and the neighboring town for meals that the hotel could not accommodate us. There is also a Family Mart convenience store across the street from the hotel. We did have breakfast at the hotel. It was a traditional Japanese breakfast with several small dishes of fish, rice, vegetables, and hot green tea. The hotel itself is very clean and has great views of the ocean. They provide both western style rooms (with beds) and Japanese-style rooms (with tatami mats). Our favorite part of they whole stay was the onsen. They have several baths grouped into 3 areas. The areas alternate between men and women. This was our first onsen experience and I thought I would be uncomfortable but the space is very well done and scenic and the other guest mind their own business so we were able to relax pretty easily. Overall we had a good stay. We speak limited Japanese but the staff were able to fill in the blanks with some English.

My wife and son stayed here for a night which was more than enough. I would like to start off with the service as being good and attentive. The hot spring facilities are nice and relaxing. The hotel is very old and needs a massive renovation with everything looking like a throw back to the 70's. The is a bit of a strange small in the carpets. The room was clean and nice but the private bath was old to the point of falling apart. The buffets was horrible with very limited choices, both breakfast and dinner.
