Conveniently located on Lake Chatuge in the North Georgia Mountains. Right next door to the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds and Anderson Music Hall--all within walking distance. We offer free breakfast, high speed wireless internet and parking. All rooms include private balcony or patio. Views of Lake Chatuge and mountains for some rooms. Conference and meeting facilities available. Restaurant on property. Catering and banquet facilities available.
The lodge is old but I found it to be in excellent shape and very clean. The female desk clerk was a treasure. She was very friendly and took us outside to show us the walking path to concert venue. This hotel is set in a beautiful location with mountains and a surrounding lake. It is the place to stay when attending a concert at the Anderson Music Hall. It's an easy .7 mile walk to the venue. There was no comfortable seating in our room or on the balcony but there were many beautiful common seating areas with very comfortable seating. I loved the homey feel of the interior design and furniture. It was a nice change from the usual industrial looking furniture you usually find in hotels. The mattress was really lumpy and uncomfortable. The breakfast offered was the usual hotel fare. We will definitely stay here again.

Our mission is, and always will be, to make our guests feel welcome and at home. The Ridges Resort isn’t just a business, we’re a family, and we understand the importance of hospitality, building relationships and providing guests with a memorable experience. We’ve spent the past year making changes that we hope will provide added value and comfort for new and returning guests. Whether you want to celebrate a major milestone, embark on a family adventure, or simply kick back and soak up a breathtaking mountain view, we’re here to accommodate your every need. And because we’re only a two-hour drive from major cities like Atlanta, Greenville, Asheville, and Chattanooga, the experience of your life is a lot closer than you think.
We rented a boat from The Ridges Marina, as a reciprocal Member of The Freedom Boat Club of Tampa Bay. The dock staff, Owen and Brady, were very helpful and friendly. The boat, a Bayliner VR4, was brand new and so much fun to drive. I want to thank them for treating us as if we were home members. Lake Chatuge was beautiful and the docking process easy to negotiate. I can’t wait for our next visit to Hiawassee, Georgia!

Did a half day boat rental on Monday and it was absolutely fantastic. We definitely plan on returning soon. Boundary waters is a wonderful lake resort!!

We were just at the hotel for one night but had told our grand daughter she would be able to play in the pool. No such luck. The hotel is being updated and our room was half done I guess. The new walk in shower was nice but there was no place to set anything and no grab bar. The bath gel was empty. There was no closet which was ok since our stay was short. There was no light at the desk. One of the lamps had no light bulb. These are some minor things but annoying. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. It was a good size room. The breakfast was what you would expect. The lady working the breakfast room was friendly and busy bringing out items as needed. Location was great since we were going the rodeo at the fairgrounds, just minutes away.

Hiawassee is a North Georgia Mountain community that still has that small town feel. Convenient to many great attractions with a variety of things to do... or nothing at all.
We love this place! It is so cozy and the view is gorgeous. Clean and safe. Dave and Mariah are great hosts. And oh, the breakfasts are out of this world. Lots of places to hike and eat. If you like privacy, this place is for you.
