We had dinner at this restaurant one evening to celebrate some good news. All of our dinners were very good, but unlike other restaurants in Mainz, our portions were considerably smaller and higher priced. The service and atmosphere were both spot-on good, recreating for me memories of Buenos Aires along with our steaks and French fries. I recommend trying this restaurant for special occasions, or when the cost of a good meal just really doesn't matter!

We made reservations for 19:00 which is a quiet time for the restaurant at a Thursday evening. Table and restaurant nice atmosphere . We ordered steaks with a extra 100 Ger which brings you in about 50⬠( total 320 gram). The service was standard and not real special or friendly. They brought the steaks within normal waiting time. Food was brought by different waitress then the that took the order. Half way found my steak on average more raw then medium which I ordered. My colleague had other way around so turned out they switched our order. This is often the case when the staff is switching then they don't know who ordered what . Other then that the steak was good taste . The French fries were a bit hard. so on the end I would say average ranking due to price quality ratio and service .

Although the Chaplin´s is located quite far from our home, we do visit twice a year. The "trip" is definately worth its while. It still is the best steakhouse in Germany - hands down. Even well-done steaks are served juicy, tasty and in perfect condition. The meat and the cook should be awarded! The service is perfect, the restaurant tidy, the menu extensive and the prices are fair. DO VISIT, you´ll thank me. :-)

The Brauhaus Castel was built in 1990 by the Bavarian model. Massive wooden tables, the gallery and typical Bavarian beer hall invite up to 190 people. For a stay. For smaller groups is that, decorated with murals, Braustuberl available. The outdoor area
Iâve been coming to this restaurant for 8-years now...a must-go-to-stop on my trips through Wiesbaden, Germany. The food is consistently excellent: traditional Schnitzel, Schweinehaxen (ham hocks), and a multitude of other Bavarian favorites hard to find in central Germany. Thereâs even a tasty Apfel Strudel for dessert....if you can manage another bite. Me? Iâm always a fan of the Backfisch: a mouth watering twist on fish and chips served with a fresh remoulade sauce. There is a micro brewery attached to this wonderful restaurant and the local brew is quite good, all seasonally prepared. Plenty of English spoken here and English menus for visitors. A nice open air Bier Garten is available for outside seating. Daily menus feature seasonal favorites such as Spargel (white asparagus) and Pfifferlinge (chanterelle mushrooms). Sunday boasts brunch until 1200. For those new to Germany, this is a good way to easer yourself into German cuisine without the guesswork. Have always been a big fan of this local restaurant and I imagine I always will be.
