born in frankfurt-sachsenhausen i grew up in mörfelden and the gundhof in the summer was always a heavenly place to spend a few hours under old plane trees with applewine and the usual local hessen treats like "handkäs" or "rippchen just to name two. service can be slow when the beergarden is full but it gets crowded in the summer with cyclists. very relaxing
Ja, das Dalles Café ist auch ein normales Café. Es gibt aber auch leckeres Eis, besonders beliebt sind die tollen (und groÃen) Eisbecher. Sehr liebevoll zubereitet. Viele Sorten. Mmmh

Tried this restaurant around the corner from the Global hotel, Frankfurt airport. It was a saturday, Champions league final ( one huge TV one plasma ) , fairly busy. The friendly staff served a buffet of Greek food, very plentiful, fresh, and tasty - for ⬠13 plus desert and drinks. Total bill â¬37 for two, not cheap, included two large beers. For a quick meal if you are hungry I would recommend.

The waiter started out less than friendly and when he realized we are English speaking Americans it got worse. No one was friendly to us, but they seemed to have regulars for whom they reserved their friendly treatment. We waited 15 minutes to order and had to request drink refills. The throat clearing didn't help!We chose to eat in the garden which was a mistake as non-smokers. Stay inside. Seemed livelier in there as well. The caprice salad, lasagna and pasta were all excellent. Too bad the service was such a damper.

This authentic German restaurant serves simple yet delicious meals at very reasonable prices. It sits in an unassuming building at the intersection of two reasonably busy roads, so you could easily overlook it, but the interior of the restaurant is nice and the outdoor Biergarten is surprisingly large, full of trees, and secluded from the roads. The menu offers a wide range of salads, soups, meats and, of course, schnitzles. The beer prices are quite reasonable. The servers tolerated my abysmal German (and one spoke very good English). I was very pleased and pleasantly surprised. There also are rooms, as this is a pension, too, but I did not see them.

Deutsches Restaurant Steakhaus Hessische Gastronomie gut essen& trinken. Gut Bürgerliche Küche rustikales Ambiente
Been here meeting friends whom I haven´t seen in years. We chose that place because it was nearest to their Hotel in Morfelden-Waldorf.I chose Salad with Chicken-breast, which was tender and very tasty, flavored well and assorted nicely on a salad bed which was huge. Together with it I had bread with a sort of cream cheese, also very fresh and the taste impeccable. Drinks are mostly local beers which they do have, bis assortment, and apple cider or sparkling water with Apple juice mixed. A nice and cozy pation on a very warm summer evening. But even if it were a cold day, I am sure that this place has a lot of potential, but not as many foreign visitors, as Morfelden Waldorf is hardly knows among Tourists.

Zagreb is a great find in local restaurants, providing good food at a great price in a romantic atmosphere. Highly recommended! We have tried many of the local restaurants in the area and have had mediocre experiences but were surprised and delighted with the food, prices, atmosphere, and service at Zagreb. The schnitzel is great and served with lots of accompanying goodies. The Goulash is excellent and unique (Croatian). House wine is good and plentiful. Service is excellent. We were looking for an open restaurant on a Sunday evening and found several but none were appealing. Zagreb had a sign that said open at 5:30, so we came back at 5:35 and found that the restaurant had filled with locals in the short five minutes it had been open!It is obviously a local jewel and should be tried if you are in the neighborhood.Bon appetite!

My friend/colleague and I were both staying at the Frankfurt Airport Holiday Inn Express, and the Gasthof was just a minute or two across the highway. First surprise: it doesn't look or feel like a commercial establishment from the outside. indeed, we weren't even sure it was open. But when we tip-toed in, we found it nearly full. Second surprise: a far more diverse menu than expected with starter salads, a variety of schnitzels, beef, chicken and fish entrees, and more. My tilapia was smothered in a sauce that was tasty but felt a bit like coarse acting. My partner got two enormous slabs of roast pork also drenched in a sauce. He seemed to like it, because he cleaned his plate. Third surprise: out of about 50 or more customers, all but two were male. It didn't strike me as odd at first, because I've just finished three weeks in Saudi Arabia, but when it did I couldn't stop being amazed, even disturbed. Fourth surprise: the lone waiter somehow managed to handle all 30 or so tables with no apparent strain. Service was prompt and pleasant. When he was discussing whether we would order one or two desserts, though, he hinged his sales argument for two on a coarse, sexually tinged joke about women. Not my cup of tea. All in all, though, this place tucked in the woods was an astonishing find so close to a major international airport.

Our restaurant with its outdoor terrace offers not only a unique view, but also a rich selection of dishes of the highest quality. Especially pasta and steaks belong to our specialty.
We've been twice and the second time was even better than the first. The restaurant is comfortable, light & airy. You can watch the barges go by on the Main. The service for us is good & friendly, apparently not for everybody if you believe the reviews. Wine & beer are good. The food is good. The meats are well cooked and of high quality. You need to work through the menu to determine what it is you like. The deserts are very good. If we were to criticise at all it would be that the starters don't match what comes after. Is it expensive? It's not cheap, but we frequent restaurants who ask much more. The reviewers who seem to expect wagyu beef for a low price might need to adjust their expectations to reality.
