This is still one of my favourites in Heppenheim.The selection on the menu is great, with plenty of traditional German dishes washed down with some good winds again regionally selected.My friend went for a pork dish with potatoes and I had a schnitzel.The restaurant is extremely atmospheric and because of its position on the Main Square in the old town it adds to the traditional German charm.à la mail cost â¬40 which was two main courses and two drinks. I think that is fair for what we received.

Wir sind durch eine Empfehlung in diese kleine Wirtschaft gekommen. Wir mussten unbedingt das halbe Hähnchen für 4⬠probieren. Die Portion war groÃ. Das Hähnchen gut. Lediglich etwas mehr Gewürz hätte dem Huhn gutgetan. GroÃer Radler 2,20â¬, das gibt es nicht all zu oft. Fazit: wir würden nochmals dort essen und trinken. Personal ist sehr freundlich.

Wir kommen hier oft fuer ein kurzes Essen wie Schnitzel oder Kochkaese/Wurstplatte her, da die Kids drauÃen spielen können (Schaukel, Minigolf, Rutsche). Zudem gibt es Cevapcici, Bratwurst ..., also bürgerliches Essen.Die Preise sind Top!

We arrived after a horrible journey to find the lovely town was all about cafes and pizzas so after looking about for a bit found this gem. Very atmospheric in a cellar with trendy tasteful art and real roses (a must for me) The menu was typical German and totally delicious , extremely well served and cooked. Lovely jazz playing, cool candles what was not to love about this place. There was plenty of food, very well cooked and beautifully presented. I would also say a reasonably price. Go and enjoy this new venture

Ambiente gut, sehr freundliche Bedienung und vor allem: das Essen war auch gut.Das ganze zu moderaten Preisen und wer nur mal eine Kleinigkeit essen möchte, findet auch mit Sicherheit etwas.Wir waren bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal dort.

Es tolles, kleines Lokal mit kleiner angeschlossener Terrasse, das nach einem Jahr Umbaupause wiedereröffnet wurde. Das Ehepaar, bewirtschaftet dieses Restaurant seit etlichen Jahren und das Niveau und die Güte der Speisen haben sich nicht verändert. Immer einen "Gruà des Hauses" im Vorab, wobei es sich meistens um ein feines Süppchen handelt, danach kann man aus der wohlsortierten, aber nicht überladenen Speisekarte, nationale Gerichte ordern. Saisonale Produkte werden mit Liebe serviert. Immer gerne wieder

There were seven of us,and all of us were satisfied with the atmosphere, the service, the friendliness of the staff and our meal. It's an out of the way place, but well worth the trip. I'd advise you to go(had to slip that in). My wife is German, as were the rest of our group. The lady who brought us here is very selective about the places she will go. This was her fourth time here, and I can assure that is a high sign this place is well above average. The lovely lady in the blue is my wife of 51 years. She is my peace bride since I met her in 1964 and was lucky enough to marry her in 1965.

This former antiques show room was changed some years ago to a restaurant and is tastefully and comfortably furnished and appointed. A very pleasant atmosphere but quite a large area and so for me, lacking in 'Gemütlichkeit' or intimacy which for most people may be irrelevant. The welcome is very warm and efficiently handled. There is a table d'hote menu together with the limited a la Carte menu. This limited menu is quite a good idea, allowing the kitchen to concentrate on doing a few dishes, but doing them well. We were a party of six and all were satisfied with quality and quantity of the meals. The one small complaint was that the House wine that was served had been sitting too long in an open bottle and so tasted oxidised. It was mentioned to a staff member but no response was forthcoming other than a rather negative frown.Finally, in my view, this is not a restaurant suitable for small children.

We went there 3 times, 2 times forex breakfast & 1 time for dinner. It is a popular local restaurant and have to reserve table for dinner. The quality, value and portion were up to our satisfaction but they only have German menu and not many waitress can speak English. A young guy came to explain to us and we ordered a dish which was not what we expected. He was very nice and did not charge us for that order!
