Whenever we visit family in Petersberg, we make sure to stop by the Rabanusstuben. Delicious German food (generous portions), reasonable prices, and cozy atmosphere make this place a winner for us every time. I also want to make special mention of the outstanding service: very, very friendly!!! In sum, fantastic place!

My team was in town for an EMS tradeshow in May 2019. We finished day 2 and didn't have dinner plans... becuase the tradeshow was in town, every place we called was booked... until we found Alt Elsass. They got us right in, translated the menu for us word for word from German to English and served us one of the most amazing meals. The soups are very good. We tried Asparagus, Spinach, and French onion and all we outstanding. The main course, French fare as well as typical German entrees were all awesome. Service was impacable. Thanks Alt Elsass..... Glad we lucked out and ended up at your restaurant.

We hade few dinners during our stay. Food is excellent, portions are big. Everytime we received small gifts - additional meal from hotel we didn't order but also were not charged for.

Hohmanns Brauhaus is an OK place for a good beer and dinner. The decor is modern and actually a little bit sterile, not quite the typical brauhaus atmosphere. But the beer is good, the service excellent and friendly and the food satisfying. I had the pike filet with potato croquettes and my wife had a tasty, but somewhat chewy, steak with spaetzle. Very popular with locals.

We entered the classic building in the old town, ready for a good beer and a classic german dish, like Schnitzel or else. The setting inside indeed classic, thick wooden tables and friendly but simple decor. Also no surprise that our table neighbours were enjoying big schnitzels. Friendly waiter and no pretensions. Our surprise was the saisonal offers in the menu!Modern creative kitchen with a variety of offerings! We ordered a fish dish with scallops, haring sushi, etc. Delicious! We had to wait some time but then the chef himself came to bring us the nicely presented variation of fish, excusing himself with the delay because it was a new creation in the menu. Both of us enjoyed very much this creation. To me this is what is good cooking about!: No table clot and no bending over of the waiter but friendly treatment making you feeling beeng with friends, creative good food and very reasonable prices. You should certainly try Ritter if you are in Fulda, you can go classic with the food or just try what is New in the menu. For sure you will have other choices, as the dishes change with the season, but I hope you can enjoy it as much as we did!

Dear heimat friends, The one place that is something special. The place full of comfort and warmth. The one place we feel so connected to, our home. Heimat (home) is our families, our friends, our city, familiar faces, familiar smells, the place where you
Stopped and sat outside on a cool evening. Our waitress Katerina was very helpful in identifying the various regional items. Simply had a burger and the Bimbach Stulle between the two of us.

We spent one evening in Fulda and picked Breuers without any research or recommendations. The restaurant has a nice casual, pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant staff is friendly and makes you feel welcome, I ordered lachfilet (salmon,16.50â¬) and my wife had dorade (gilt-head bream, a white fish with a nice meaty flavor,19.50â¬). My son ordered tafelspitz (boiled beef in broth, served with horseradish,14.00â¬). The food was delicious and the service was good. Although they donât have English menus our server spoke English and described the menu items. They have a wine sampler that I really enjoyed of 4 different wines for 11.50â¬. I would definitely recommend this place.

Dachsbau, the name of this adorable restaurant in glorious Fulda, is German for the badger's underground living quarters, his "sett". It's the best place to recover after visiting the town's many wonderful sights, mostly ecclesiatical; from Fulda the Christianization of central Germany was undertaken in the mid-8th century by a group of intrepid Anglo-Saxons led by St. Boniface, who was buried in the former Abbey Church after having his head split by the Frisian king's sword in 754.The food here is outstanding, the menu is imaginative but sensible and free of modern weirdnesses, the portions are generous but not Gargantuan, and the prices are reasonable. The wine list is varied and interesting, without wearing you out. I asked if they really had that magnum of 1929 Chateau Margaux in the cellar; the boss said it had been drunk recently, and was amazing, but that he had left it on the list for sentimental reasons, like a ghost. I can understand that. What is really nice is their generous range of open wines, which they will serve you at 0.1 or 0.2 liter glasses. The building is 400 years old and has been a restaurant for a century and a half. The space is accordingly...cozy, and quaint. Copiously decorated with old prints, and paintings from the 1920's of anthropomorphized badgers, said to represent long-dead inhabitants of the city.I never enjoyed a restaurant in Germany more, and I have been eating out here for 30 years.

Me and my husband had dinner yesterday at the Goldener Karpfen in Fulda. We wanted to go there spontaneously because of our anniversary and called at 18:00 H to ask if they would have a free table for two at eight o´clock; luckily they had a free table for us (despite the short notice) and asked if we were celebrating something, so we said that it was our wedding anniversary. When we got there, they have had decorated the table with flowers and candles. The service was exceptional, very attentive and kind. The food was spectacular and so was the wine too. We received some appetizers while we were waiting as well as some sweets at the end of the dinner. The dessert was the highlight of the dinner, I really recommend you to try it! When we were about to go, we even received a present from the chef because of our celebration. We didnât expect it at all and it made our night⦠Definitely this restaurant has won the good reputation it has as the best restaurant in Fulda. Everything was perfect, service, food and ambient. Would love to come back!
