This is our family's favorite German restaurant. We take all our visitors here. Excellent menu with seasonal specials. You can't go and not get the Gambas and Wine Soup! Recommend reservations. Outdoor seating for summer too

They serve nice 'german' dishes ... meat, soups .... Service is good but not outstanding. Centrally located.

Excellent authentic German (Deutsch) food in a fantastic space. It must have been a very rich house a long time ago. Chandeliers, art work and other ambience really adds to the eating experience. Our five dishes of food were fantastic and service was prompt and personable. In fact, one of the owners visits the tables to answer questions in Deutsch or English. We will be back! Our friends recommended the place and expectations were high, but they delivered.

We've visited this establishment a few times now and enjoy the occasion - be it summer or winter. Well cooked and prepared traditional food on offer (generous portions), along with attentive and friendly staff - all at reasonable prices too. We'll be back.

A large group of people went there after a funeral in town. Their afternoon cake and coffee offer was very good. Service was efficient and friendly. The Restaurant is under the same ownership as the Hotel. Can be recommended with no restriction!!

We've here several times and enjoyed the meals. The restaurant is in a train station, for a rail line that's been closed for years. The interior has items from when the town was called "Langenschwalbach" instead of its modern name Bad Schwalbach. There are also mementos from when the station was in use, including the ticket window. The ambiance is good and the seating isn't crowded, although some might think it's a bit close. In the summer there's outdoor seating on the train platform and a converted railroad car is used as a band stand. Parking can be a challenge. There a small casino (mostly slots?) next door. Between the two places, the lot can fill up.The service is excellent, with the owner serving along with other wait-staff. The food is generally very good although my schnitzel with a mushroom cream sauce was noticeably over-salted. The menu, however, is somewhat limited, which can lead to "I just don't see what I want, so I'll take this thing instead". If this changes, I'll gladly give the restaurant an otherwise deserved fifth star.

Typically German, with emphasis on "Wild Essen" (game) zum Wispertal is renowned for its excellent food and friendly, family atmosphere. Located in a small valley that leads to Lorch on the Rhein, It is Ramschied's sole restaurant and run by the Hoffmann family. Weekends are busy - so book in advance. Seasonal specialities include delicious "Spargel" (white asparagus) in the spring, " Gansessen" in November and December plus the superb "Forellen" (trout) that are readily available and freshly out of the tank outside. If they are in season, Hans also does yummy "knusprige Schweinehachse" (crispy pork knuckle) - like no other. The service is excellent , the atmosphere cosy and the menu extensive and varied. Top marks: never been disappointed in over 10 years of visits. My last visit was for my personal favourite: roast goose breast with a Dornfelder red: absolutely superb, as always, thanks Hans.
