The restaurant has a so called, "romantic decor", with some eclectic elements. The service was terrible and there was less than a dozen diners while we were there. The food was average and a bit overdone. We had the house made sauerbraten, (very dry with a little sauce, potato dumplings and overly seasoned red cabbage), a mixed greens salad with goat cheese and honey, (salad was drenched in salad dressing), and a chicken curry dish, (which was just okay). Overall, with the average food and poor service I doubt I will return.

On top of a hill, with a view over the city. Service is OK, there's some room for improvement. The food looks, smells and tastes great, but if you're not up for typical German cuisine, don't bother. Prices are actually OK, I was pleasantly surprised.

I would not recommend this place for dinner. Although the courtyard setting is very nice, the food is only average and most certainly overpriced. The main course for two guests in our group arrived late, and one was simply inedible. The fried potatoes were burnt on nearly all plates served. When this was brought to the attention of the waiters, the response lacked concern, and the only compensation offered was a complimentary dessert.

Good local restaurant which tasty German dishes. Reasonable prices. Worth to have lunch or dinner there.

Stayed nearby and nearly strolled by this place. Didn't appear on my travel app. The food was fantastic. In particular the octopus and goats cheese starter was fantastic.

I discovered Il Sorriso on the occasion of last Heimtextil Trade Fair in January 2014.Only 10 km away from the fair, in a nice & quite residential neighborhood, I was welcomed by an exceptionally warm and friendly team.I didn't have to choose my dinner on a menu as Enzo, the Chef, concocted a perfect dinner of fish, pastas, truffle cream and an assortment of specialties that had my olfactory and savoring systems singing over each plate. It was so good I went back for more the next evening. unfortunately, I was leaving the next day, otherwise I would have gone for the rest of the week. Not only I strongly recommend you visit and eat at this beautiful restaurant, I urge you not to let the opportunity pass if you're in the Frankfurt area! Very good value for money given the extremely high quality of the ingredients (fresh sea-bass, italian truffle, top Italian wines...). When you go, don't ask for a menu: ask for Enzo... He'll know what you'll love!!

Typical Italian food, for nice evenings for two, for families, for business and more... Up to 90 people in our Party room... Up to 100 places in our open air area... Visit us and you´ll never forget...
After all the favorable reviews and the proximity to where I stayed, we just had to try this restaurant. We sat in the outside area which reminded of a traditional "Kneipe" which are found all over Sachsenhausen and Bornheim. Our appetizers of Octopus Salad and Crispy Calamari Salad were good, the entrees were not that memorable. My pork was overdone and dry.Service was acceptable.Parking was absolutely atrocious. It took a very long time of circling until we finally found a place to park.Dear exsea, thank you for your review. Unfortunately Seckbach is known for the parking Problem. Our Restaurant used to be a traditional german "Kneipe" and it is a protected house from the City of Frankfurt am Main. This is why it still recalls the tradition. I am sorry for the pork meet. normally as meet quality it is a little bit dry but i would be more than happy if you show again in our restaurant and have a taste of another piece of meet (of course on the house).Thank you.

We came here for a family event. Nice ambiance, very friendly service. Reservations are a must, this place has only 5 or 6 tables. Mix of traditional German and Austrian cuisine. Fine but from the reviews I was expecting a lot more. Folks who ordered meat were generally happy, the vegetarians not so. Do not forgo the Kaiserschmarren— like everyone else on TripAdvisor has pointed out, it’s amazing. All in all a pleasant experience but not something I would go out of my way to repeat. They do NOT accept credit cards!

restaurant and coffeehouse in an old mill nearby the river "Nidda". Cross-over food, international breakfast, lunch, fresh cakes and italian coffee specialities. Beautiful summer terrace. Theater and cinema are located in the same house.
We had to sit outside as the inside was booked for a private party but it was a warm evening so it was pleasant enough. Had a very pleasant meal - the steak was delicious - and the food that my colleagues chose looked good too.
