German style restaurant, with nice view. Since we entered this restaurant everything went wrong. Our colleague ripped jacket by nail hanging from wall. German menu, prepared by Indien cheff, with two Indien dishes in the menu. They do not remember who order what, they forgot to bring order. Not prepared for big parties. Quality of food is below average, for not average price. Do not recommend to drive there.

Today I tried the dish with roasted goose leg, red cabbage and knödeln. It was perfect!This restaurant is located in the forest between Lorsbach (30 min walk), Hofheim (1 hour) and Kelkheim (30 min). But one can drive there aswell. Good quality regional dishes, but also various schnitzel variations and steaks. Fresh salads and vegetables.

Owing to the poor quality of the food in my hotel, I had the pleasure of eating here twice. Good linen, great wine, lovely glasses, super food. It is very busy, so best to book.Lots to choose from-traditional dishes such as goose with orange sauce, apple fritters, fish and game.About 30 Euros for a good slection of food and wine.

Very large wine card, cocktails are skillfully mixed. The cooking is over-average quality. They offer unusual combinations, which I always prefer, and also vegetarian. (Plates are 7 - 15 euro's) They serve breakfast for 4 - 8 euro's. In the spring and summer you can have breakfast in the sun on the small terrace in front. Very nice view on nostalgic center with "Fachwerk" houses. The kids can play opposite on a little square but in between there's a street with a few slow passing cars.

The food portions are so large...you can choice 3 different sizes of pork loin. The meat has a geat taste, the breading is good, but the gravy and sauces are subpar. The gravy tasted like it was from a can or dry mix. The French fries are not all that good either, crinkle fries, the frozen kind you buy at the store. This is a popular place because of the huge portions...it's like a novelty ...but it wasnt authentic. It's hard to get service and you wait a long time.Dear Rebecca S,thank you for your feedback. Typical family restaurant in the typical german village. For those who know only the the street number as a address, the place could not be very easy to find. You may choose the outdoor sitting, which could be very good idea, because the nearest restaurant's surroundings are separated from main pedestrian zone by range of buildings. Thus, sitting at the table only a little of eyes watch what you eat.The staff is extremely helpful and hospitable. Menu is short but everybody could find something for himself. Definitely, I could recommend that restaurant.

Visited with family who have been there many times before, as was keen to get a good Schnitzel meal. Zum Turmchen does not disappoint! I had an amazing Zwiebelschnitzel which was generously portioned and came with tasty potatoes and salad. We ate outside during a lovely sunny afternoon and the service was excellent, even though it was busy. Will definitely return next time I visit the area!

In the middle of winter, with snow outside, it almost seems like you are in a ski hut in the alps. The food is good, the atmosphere rustic and comfortable. I like this place a lot, and would recommend it to all to try.

In the shopping street of Hofheim. With lunchtime they offer "Mittagstisch" 2 courses for 10, and 3 courses for 15 euro's. Delicious! The interior is modern but cosy.
