Find out what Mediterranean restaurants to try in Mostar. Mostar (Serbo-Croatian pronunciation: [mǒstaːr]) is a city and municipality in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina. Inhabited by 105,797 people, it is the most important city in the Herzegovina region, its cultural capital, and the center of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton of the Federation. Mostar is situated on the Neretva River and is the fifth-largest city in the country. Mostar was named after the bridge keepers (mostari) who in the medieval times guarded the Stari Most (Old Bridge) over the Neretva. The Old Bridge, built by the Ottomans in the 16th century, is one of Bosnia and Herzegovina's most recognizable landmarks, and is considered one of the most exemplary pieces of Islamic architecture in the Balkans.

On a quick visit with a group from Dubrovnik. Didnât want to eat at the crazy busy restaurants we came to first so crossed the bridge and went along the street this little quieter restaurant is behind shoe stalls down steps. The view back of the old bridge is brilliant from here and a lot quieter. Food was brilliant and portions great. Our daughter wanted to order two meals (she thought one was a starter) and the young waiter kindly told her that it was too much for her. He could of said nothing bill was 60e for four large meals and drinks, I thought it was euro but it was the local currency so was only â¬30. Only take cash like a lot of these places. He explained that it was only â¬30 and could easily of charged us â¬60. We wouldnât of known the difference. Tasted so good and we were starving too after four hour trip to get there. Very impressed and the view of bridge and river was really a terrific bonus. Will have to add the photos from my camera at a later time

Close to our Hotel, we loved everything about it, that we ate here on both nights we stayed in Mostar. Sitting outside overlooking the river below was very relaxing and with a gentle breeze perfect on a hot summer late afternoon for dinner. The service was excellent and was fresh and delicious. The local Rakija was great to start with and house wine and draft beer perfect with out meal all at great value prices.

We went here for lunch on the recommendation of our tour guide. It has a fabulous view of the bridge, and the food and service was excellent. We had the cevapi, again recommended by our guide, and both meals were excellent. Two mains, two large beers, fries and salads and a fabulous view of the bridge for the equivalent of about 20 quid. Would definetly return and would highly recommend.

The restaurant is just beside the Crooked Bridge. The setting is farm-style, with copper and timber beams. Service was fast and friendly. We ordered the trout with potato spinach and the veal ; nothing sensational, but just a plain, honest quality meal. Together with 1lt of the local wine, it set us back 45 km â you cannot fault that.

My daughter and I visited this restaurant because we had read some good reviews but when you see a mannequin clothed in traditional dress it should have been a warning sign.Despite what some reviews have said our waiter was lovely but the food was poor.We ordered some local dishes but even though they looked good they were not to our taste Iâm afraid so we left.

Looking forward to the local cuisine, we ordered the above two meals, both being mince just in different presentation, on a plate of homemade potato smash. The food was not bad, but also not very tasty - rather bland. The music did not add to the ambiente, service was mediocre at best.

Small restaurant in the Old Town of Mostar with beautiful view at the Unesco protected Old Bridge. Lower an upper terace 30 meters from Old Bridge. Grill food, vegetarian and national east Europe kitchen. ''Good food, Good Drinks, Old Bridge Panorama View
Bosnian food, very tasty. Friendly service, attentive, and waiter very happy to answer questions. Recommend sharing the meat platter for two, this provides a taste of 4+ different items vs. only trying one item, and a taste of food from this part of world. Food was good. Draft beer was excellent. We had a table on the terrace looking at the bridge so could see all the action in Mostar. Owner and waiters friendly and helpful. Price was very reasonable. I recommend this restaurant

Went here while in Mostar for a night based on reviews. Five stars absolutely! Great looking place. My steak was as good as the best steak I've had in America. Thick, tender, tasted fabulous. Wife has stuffed pork loin, again fabulous. Other couple had four cheese tortellini and cognac steak, of course fabulous. Met the manager and a great guy. I feel like flying back to Mostar from Minneapolis just to have dinner here!
