Reviews on International food in Mostar, Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Mostar (Serbo-Croatian pronunciation: [mǒstaːr]) is a city and municipality in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina. Inhabited by 105,797 people, it is the most important city in the Herzegovina region, its cultural capital, and the center of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton of the Federation. Mostar is situated on the Neretva River and is the fifth-largest city in the country. Mostar was named after the bridge keepers (mostari) who in the medieval times guarded the Stari Most (Old Bridge) over the Neretva. The Old Bridge, built by the Ottomans in the 16th century, is one of Bosnia and Herzegovina's most recognizable landmarks, and is considered one of the most exemplary pieces of Islamic architecture in the Balkans.
Things to do in Mostar
I visited Taboo bar and restaurant with my husband for drinks first. It's near a private clinic I had an appointment where, so we stopped there for coffee and hot chocolate. The drinks were very tasty. I liked the place immediately, so we asked the waiter about what they have to offer. We were pleasantly surprised to learn they also serve food. When we heard they offered sushi, (which we haven't tried before) we promised to come back for lunch. That we sure did! We ordered two kind of sushi, one dish with salmon, the other with tuna. I forgot which one came with avocado, but that one was the tastiest. Anyhow, both dishes were excellent. I'm not a sushi expert but I liked them. They are very affordable but also quite small. The sushi options are more an appetizer, I'd say. We picked up some sandwiches on our way back home because we were still hungry. The service was very friendly. We do know the waiters, I've been living in Mostar for almost a decade so I know a lot of people, but I'm sure they're just as friendly as helpful in general. The atmosphere is very nice. The decor is very pleasing to the eyes. The only downside is the bathroom which is beautiful and modern but a bit hard to find. I had to ask for help from some random guy to turn on water, they have these pipes that hang from the ceiling- a bit confusing. On overall, my experience was very pleasant. We went in for drinks with friends a few days later. Again, the service was excellent. The tea was delicious and served beautifully. The lavazzo coffee with ice-cream was just dreamy! Be sure to try it.
You can enjoy various dishes such as burgers, homemade sausages, salads, quesadillas and various meat plates. In Blok bar you can taste the amazing house specialty, the very popular establishment's own craft beer know as "Cooltura". You can choose between
Varied menu offering something for everyone. I like cheese plate and salad. Leisurely ambiance with great selecton of local wines, Brkic and Marianovic is something perfect. They served some label on glass. Well educated staff who helped us navigate with food and wines. Highly recommended!

Been there many times. It is situated outside the town, above it, on a hill in a beautiful rural atmosphere. You can ride horses there, bike around beautiful nature, hike...And the reastaurant is "rustic". Food is great. Go for the local food: Hercegovacki donouts, cheese, prschuto. Or you can preorder some of famous dishes "ispod peke".

Me and my husband ate here after seeing the rave reviews on trip advisor and we were so thankful that we did. Portions were huge. We both had the pizza picante (ham, mushrooms, cheese, spicy pepper). Huge but delicious. Not too thin a crust but definitely not thick crust. The smallest wine portion is 0.25L so needless to say it was about 4 glasses of wine. Plus we shared the Porto salad which was also huge! Only buy one salad and share it if you plan on having a pizza as well.Service was good. The ambiance was quite cozy.We would definitely recommend this restaurant! Thanks for your review. All regards. Porto Pizza!

We called in here for breakfast on two mornings. There is a reasonable selection ranging from a simple continental breakfast, eggs and ham, poached egg, omelette with cheese and mushroom or fruit salad as well as some traditional options. The breakfast includes a choice of coffee/tea or orange juice which is fresh. On the first visit, it was fairly good, we sampled the omelette which also came with bread and jam/honey. Very simple but good value for just 7KM. Second visit was awful, abrupt and non communitive service, both omelettes were burnt and both had with very little filling. No accompanying bread or jam. First visit classed as four stars, the second a miserable one star accounting for the overall two star rating.

If you find yourself at Mepas Mall this is a place to go to if one gets hungry. They have an absolute awesome curryzola steak which if ordered medium rare taste absolutely awesome. Restaurant has extensive menu which might seem a bit confusing and some of the things I tried over the time seem a bit bland (such as chicken or pasta). If you want a full flavor I'd recommend go with beef since that's something they do best. Dear vpazin89,thank you very much for the nice words of our restaurant! We are very pleased that you liked your steak and that you have tried many things from our menu. Our chef is constantly working on new dishes and new flavors to satisfy everyone's taste.Hope that you will come and visit us again next time you are in Mostar!Sincerely, Dalibor Å unjiÄ

Good variety of food from local traditional to international (mostly Italian) cuisine. The service was professional (soup as a main dish was not served before but together with the other main dishes) and quick. Prices were friendly, card is accepted, free and very powerful WiFi.

You must eat here. Atmosphere and service outstanding

Looking forward to the local cuisine, we ordered the above two meals, both being mince just in different presentation, on a plate of homemade potato smash. The food was not bad, but also not very tasty - rather bland. The music did not add to the ambiente, service was mediocre at best.
