Set in the picturesque village of Rhu overlooking the Firth of Clyde, near Loch Lomond the four star Rosslea Hall Hotel offers you a choice of traditional elegance and modern facilities. Our award winning Restaurant and wedding venue are famed for the quality of food and service. Built in 1849 by Architect Daniel Walkinshaw, who was so enamoured by Italy in general, decided his house should be italian in style and built on the shores that most resembled his loved Bay of Naples. To this day, with its bell tower clearly visible from the peninsula in Rhu Rosslea still has the Italianate flavour.
I would recommend this hotel ,it is in a great location and its very beautiful. Unfortunately for us my wife took ill on our first day . The staff were amazing. They could not do enough for us and looked after us and cared for us . It was well appreciated it and won't be forgotten. The food was top quality and the place was very clean . I will never forget the care and kindness they showed to me and my wife. Thsts what you want from a hotel

Situated on the banks of Loch Long, one of the magnificent sea lochs of Scotland, Knockderry Country House Hotel was once a fabulous summer house for a Glaswegian industrialist and his family. Now owned by Murdo and Beth MacLeod and their team of local staff, Knockderry House offers a truly Scottish country house welcome to all visitors to the area. With an enviable reputation locally for excellent food and hospitality using mainly Scottish local and organic produce, Knockderry House provides guests with a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere from which to explore the area with its unique coastline, fairy-tale castles and famous distilleries.
Beautiful peaceful location. Fantastic staff and excellent food. A unique older property where you get lovely character and with this you compromise on things maybe not being brand new or working perfectly. Pay the extra for a loch-facing room as it’s worth it, although if the weathers good there’s plenty opportunities to enjoy the scenery from the grounds.

Clean comfortable convenient hotel with kind friendly very helpful staff - right on the seafront with a big car park behind it. It’s welcoming to pets on payment of a supplement and there is a jolly bar which is enjoyed by locals as well as guests. It’s a shame you can’t get breakfast.

Sea views, Log fires and a little bit of luxury will leave you feeling relaxed and ready for the day ahead. Boutique Bed and Breakfast in Helensburgh, No.20 sits on the banks of the Clyde estuary, only 5 minutes from Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.
Second time at this charming B & B and its just the same under new owners Cassie and family. The rooms are large, charming, Scottish themed , warm and very comfortable with the comfiest beds ever. Sea views, great food and the warmest welcome from Cassie who cannot do enough for you. Nothing was too much trouble. Its a little out of the town but still only 2 mins form the town centre and The House is about 50 yards from the water and is just lovely. Cassie has taken over from the previous owners and Im sure she will do a sterling job. I would definitely recommend this little hidden jewel on the clyde coast.

Located on the shores of GareLoch and a short jaunt from the world-famous Loch Lomond, Riva is a picturesque seafront hotel situated in Helensburgh town centre. Located on the historic seafront full of characterful buildings, Riva is part and parcel of the original Helensburgh. Whether it’s a short stay, a city escape, or a dinner for two, Riva provides you with an unforgettable experience.
We booked very last minute, got there, and were greeted by friendly staff. The hotel decor is very chilled out, nice atmosphere, unfortunately, the room was full of dust, and the heating system was broken and on full blast all night so we had a night of poor sleep. Breakfast was continental which was fruit and pastries. The location is easy to find and paid public council parking across the road.

The Anchor Inn is a traditional Drovers Inn dating from 1888 and still retains a lot of its original features. Since purchasing the Anchor in 2006 we have made some positive changes whilst sticking with traditional Scottish pub values. The nautical theme has been kept and the open fire makes for cosy surroundings. We pride ourselves in creating a welcoming friendly atmosphere and serve draught beers, wines and spirits. In the kitchen our long serving chef provides you with an exciting menu to choose from and all our meat is sourced from the local butcher. If you are a Coleslaw fan then you really must try our chef's homemade recipe as it is locally renowned. At the outset of taking over the Inn we focused on building the accommodation side of things and thus now have a total of fourteen new rooms all except one are fully ensuite. They have been built to a highly modern standard and are tastefully decorated again with a nautical/Scottish theme. Six of these rooms command stunning views over the Gareloch and the surrounding mountains.
We visited this pub for Sunday lunch. It was very quiet, we were the only ones dining, which might have been a concern. However staff were very welcoming and food was good. Nice interior, don't be put off by the outside.

We are a small family run hotel, we are located within 15 minutes (walking) distance from the town centre. Beautiful view of the firth of clyde from the seafront which is again 10 minutes walking distance. We have 15 ensuite rooms all with freeview channels, free wifi in all rooms.
The room was clean but rather tired and in need of some TLC. We didn't realise that the breakfast would be vegetarian... not an issue. As it turned out we left early ( a long day of travel ahead )and didn't get to sample what was on offer. Suffice to say, we probably will not have a second visit.

The Ardencaple Hotel at Helensburgh is one of our much-booked Value properties. Expect a great deal, friendly staff, tasty reasonably-priced food & drink and a really handy location. Sitting on the banks of beautiful Gare Loch, this striking former 19th-century coaching inn is a tranquil rural retreat that’s the perfect place to stay for walkers looking to explore the dramatic Dunbartonshire landscape. It’s also a fantastic spot to get together with friends and family to meet, eat and celebrate.
We stayed at the Ardencaple for 2 nights over the Platinum Jubilee . We stayed on a Bed and Breakfast basis. From the moment we checked in until we checked out every single member of staff we dealt with were friendly and professional. The rooms do need updating but our bed was absolutely spotless and lovely and comfortable. The bathroom was perfectly functional and clean. The view ...Well watching a parent heron teaching her young to fish , the local sailing boats drift along , the sun shimmering on the water ....perfect. Breakfast was superb ? Great variety and excellent quality. We ate in the bar on both evenings and food was great. The staff were really busy but the service was superb. We have already booked our return visit.
