Reviewed By ElisaSanchezCorreaVery comfortable appartment, spacious, luminous, thoroughly clean, with whirlpool and sauna, kitchen fully equiped, balcony with amazing views. Nice surroundings for hiking. My only complain is that the restaurants at the resort had very little gluten free options.

not so great rooms, but a nice pool
Reviewed By Peter KWe stayed here with our friends group for 2 nights on an Eiffel weekend tour. The hotel was picked because one member of our group needs to swim every day for her health and the good reviews on Tripadvisor. However I felt the place no more than average, specifically because of the old fashioned rooms and the hefty 100 euro room charge. We stayed in room 6, big enough, but with the tiniest of bathrooms possible and an old fashioned decoration. One of our friends stayed in a room downstairs and went to the pool area for showering because of his own small bathroom. I certainly did not feel at home here. Also the impossible WIFI system with constant logging in and passwords for 6 hours.....very customer unfriendly..... Breakfast was quite OK. Location is very remote from the village.

A very comfortable hotel to keep in mind.
Reviewed By pascal_deschepperWe stayed for 3 nights in the hotel, during October. Our room, the Admiral suite was very clean and spacious, with dining room and living room. Large balcony and splendid lake view. The meals in the a la carte restaurant were very tasteful. Friendly staff. Good choice of wines and beers. The selfservice breakfast is extensive. Wide choice. Large parking space for our car. Easily accessible. A very comfortable hotel to keep in mind.

Ons Gasthof kenmerkt zich door een ‘vintage’ inrichting. Elke ruimte heeft zijn eigen knusse, warme uitstraling. De kamers zijn voorzien van een eigen wastafel en op de gang bevinden zich de badkamers met douche en toilet. In totaal hebben wij 4 tweepersoonskamers met tweepersoonsbed en 2 badkamers. Beschikbaarheid bekijken kan op onze website Direct boeken kan op onze website De prijzen: -Een tweepersoonskamer kost €55,- per kamer per nacht. Bij een boeking van meer dan 3 nachten krijg je 10% korting op je verblijf. -Je geniet van ons uitgebreide ontbijt voor €10,- per persoon. -Personen ouder dan 14 jaar betalen €1,50 per nacht toeristenbelasting. Bij een verblijf van 1 nacht vervalt de toeristenbelasting. Check-in is van 16:00 tot 20:00. Op maandag en dinsdag in overleg. Wij hebben dan ‘Ruhetag’ dat houdt in dat wij niet de hele dag aanwezig zijn. Check-out is van 08:00 tot 10:00. Onze Bistro is voor gasten geopend van woensdag tot en met zondag, de keuken sluit om 20:00. Ontbijten is op alle dagen mogelijk van 8:30 tot 10:00.

Reviewed By kominnaard11091963Lovely dinner with my wife in this typical German stube, run by a Dutch couple. Had no reservation but were warmly welcomed. Good food and excellent atmosphere and host. Absolutely recommendable for any traveller, either for lunch, dinner or overnight stay.

Terrific place
Reviewed By tripper40I enjoyed my stay here and it was great value as well. This house has 11 rooms of which I had the single room. It has a double bed and can easily accommodate two people. There's a wonderful view from the back of the house and the breakfast was elaborate with quality products. You are allowed to create a lunch with the leftovers. First time I've seen that anywhere. Apart from that, it's a quiet place and Frau Dabrunz is very kind and welcoming. It's a two mile walk to the centre of Heimbach where you'll find many restaurants and the beautiful Burg Hengebach.

The Hotel Hinter den Spiegeln is an old guesthouse in Heimbach in the Eifel region. We bought and modernized it in 2012 and turned it into a comfortable unique hotel with 12 individually decorated rooms. The hotel also offers a well-stocked bar and a large terrace and garden.
It was like coming home again

The owner was temporarily not in a position to do much after an traffic accident, but she had a young lady doing basically all the work, and she did it really well, our compliments! We had a different theme-room this time, Elfenreich, again with a huge balcony. But we spent much time on the terrace downstairs in the shade with a drink. We had dinner here as well, again superbly done, and finished the evening with a Talisker single malt. Again, you need to consider that the bathrooms of some of the rooms is pretty small, but apart from that you have a comfortable stay here with a hostess that does everything to make you feel comfortable.

Lovely self-catering accommodation in relaxing environment
Reviewed By TravellerX2014We stayed for three nights with family, occupying both flats in this house. The house was recently refurbished and everything is still very new and in good condition. There is a fully equipped kitchen area in each flat, a large bathroom downstairs and a smaller one upstairs and double beds in each sleeping room as well as three TV's throughout the flats. WiFi is free, easy to set up and fast enough. It's located near the village centre with great views on the castle from the top floor. The owner is very friendly and asked for any feedback we might have. Few things to note, this is self catering and there is no reception, you have to call the owner or ring the bell next door if there is a problem. Also parking is very narrow and limited to a few spots which may fill up quickly.

Было интересно посмотреть, как устроено историческое жилище с картинок - внутренний дворик с открытой крышей, узкие лестницы и проходы, крошечный санузел всегда тень и прохлада (в сентябре я подмерзала). Комната было достаточно просторной и в ней было все необходимое. В проходе между входом и комнатой стояла плита, холодильник и мойка. Нам этого было достаточно, чтобы организовать себе завтрак (опция вкл.завтраков была отменена в связи с пандемией заранее). Посуда и все сопутствующие принадлежности тоже имелись. Отличное местоположение. Хозяйка нас встретила (мы оповестили ее о времени прибытия заранее), быстро рассчитала и больше мы ее не видели. По-моему, это B&B - хорошее соотношение качества и цены.

Schöne Ferienappartements in altem Gutshof
Reviewed By FredD97In einem Gutshof von 1838 wurden schätzungsweise 15 modern ausgestattete Apartemements eingebaut. Die Lage ist idyllisch und die Atmosphäre authentisch. Man schläft gut und ruhig - wenn die Nachbargäste nicht um 3 Uhr nachts lärmend nach Hause kommen würden. Jedenfalls sehr zu empfehlen auch wegen des netten und zuvorkommenden Auftretens der Eigentümer.

Reviewed By Elov28We drove by the restaurant and decided to stop because we were hungry, but should we ever return to Heimbach, we would definitely visit again. The food is very good and supertasty, the service is great and our waitress was very friendly.
