Casa Blasquico

We are an establishment of great character and prestige, run by the third generation of a mountain family from the Pyrenees in Aragón. We are a business well-known throughout the Hecho valley including a magnificent restaurant which makes us a stay not to be missed. There are only six rooms, all charming yet different, personalised and full of heirlooms – great places to relax after a splendid lunch or dinner, celebration or just a holiday. Named after different flowers found in the valley, all rooms are fully equipped with TV and WiFi. The bathrooms have recently been re-modelled and some have small sitting rooms attached.

Great stay in a quiet mountain town!

Reviewed By Jaime P

My husband and I booked this last minute for a mountain retreat after visiting a number of cities around Spain. We didn't have much of a plan, but Pepo made us feel welcome and gave us great suggestions. We did a short day hike up a GR11 trail starting right from Hecho, which had wonderful views of the town (and cute calves laying in the sun!). After our hike, we had a glass of wine at the Hotel and made our way towards Selva de Oza for more beautiful views/walking trails. After our long day and a wonderful dinner, we had a great sleep in the Camilia room with comfortable double bed, great wifi for watching a movie, and a cute balcony where we enjoyed a drink. The shower pressure was superb and we felt very relaxed. Cleanliness and friendly service...we could not ask for more!

A charming hostel run by exceptional people in a stunning location

Reviewed By Danuta W

This spring vacation, together with our two young boys, we wanted to leave behind our busy and hectic city lives and we discovered this lovely rural hostel in the middle of the Pyrenees mountains. The hostel location is stunning with the 360 degrees view on the high mountains (we stayed 4 nights in a family room with skylight windows), with its tranquility and peace (with a live alarm clock of singing birds). The hostel constitutes a perfect base for hiking trails that were described to us in details and with key safety information (we had snow in April which was atypical for this time of the year). In the evenings, we were enjoying conversations by the chimney with artisanal beers (originated by the hostel owners) and having home-made dinners inspired by the Spanish and regional cuisine. The couple running the hostel is very helpful, knowledgable and willing to share on their nonconformist lives with those who are prepared to listen.

Very nice camping and views of surroundings

Reviewed By AlbertSalichs

Camping Selva de Oza is located in the homonymous land, at the end of Hecho Valley, in Pyrenees Huesca Region, in the North of Spain. We came to the bar to breakfast after a hike in the zone. I drank a coffee with milk and a local Beer of Pyrenees brewery. In fact, the place is very nice and it has wonderful views of the surrounding mountains, specially Castillo d’Acher Mountain, a lovely place, where you can do a fantastic hike. After the breakfast, we did a guided visit in the surroundings to see Megalithic Stones, specially the place called “La Corona de los Muertos” (or Crown of the dead, in English), which was very interesting. A decent place in Hecho

Reviewed By henry024

We needed a place in Hecho as the hotel we really wanted was full. This is a perfectly fine choice. There is no elevator; however their parking area is up at the level of the rooms on the second floor, so that helps. The dining room is large and attractive, with an old fashioned atmosphere (which is good). Breakfast was very good. I think we were the only guests, and they did not serve dinner. We found a good restaurant within walking distance. There are common areas with lots of nice books and magazines in Spanish and very good views. The room was fine and the bathroom was large and good. The hallway has a sort of 1970s feel. We had no trouble paying with a credit card. No one spoke much English but we got by with Google translate. I would rate it 3.5.

Low value for money

Reviewed By Ella B

It is a cheap hotel and I only booked it as nothing else was available. The receptionist not friendly at all. Keys left at the reception desk for all occupied rooms...!!! WiFi doesn't work in the room, only in the reception area. I would not recommend this hotel at all.

Camping Valle de Hecho

Awfully neglected pitches. Worst pitches in 8 weeks travel.

Reviewed By bikalista

The pitches are not maintained, not resown, or releveled. If it rains it will be like the Somme. Lumpy, rutted, gravelly, weeds growing a foot high round the edges of a barren patch of dirt. And to add insult to injury, they have the audacity to charge for a plot as well as your tent and persons! TLC lacking. You may find a bit to put a caravan or camper and have blocks to level it up, but forget it if you have a tent. Drive a bit further to a better, probably cheaper campsite. Problem is that bungalows seem to have taken over and no interest in the camping area. Sadly if someone actually looked after it this campsite would be lovely.
